Condoleezza Rice: I Get The Security Concerns, But The US Should Accept Refugees
TPM ^ | Nov 16, 2015 | Sara Jerde

Posted on 11/18/2015 10:05:12 AM PST by bkopto

Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Monday (in a room with a governor who said he'd refuse refugees) that she understood the concerns over the security risks, but that the United States needed to accept refugees, as reported by AL.com.

Rice made the remarks at the 38th annual Southeast U.S.-Japan conference, in Birmingham, Alabama, according to the publication.

Among those in attendance was Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley (R) who had released a statement Sunday that said he would not "stand complicit to a policy that places the citizens of Alabama in harm's way." He was one of 13 governors to release statements to that effect.

Rice acknowledged Bentley at the conference, but said the country needs to be "open and welcoming" to refugees.

"I fundamentally understand that you in a position of authority, like you, governor and others, in addition to having compassion for others, you have to be safety conscious for your people," Rice said, nodding at Bentley. "What the United States has done is to be open to people who are fleeing tyranny, who are fleeing danger, but we have done it in a very careful way that has worked for us."

I don't think Condie is aware that 90% of these "refugees" are young Muslim males of fighting age.

If someone wanted to know what one of problems with the Bush Administration was, well, here is one. That and "Religion of Peace" nonsense (said to keep the money coming in from Saudi Arabia.)

Yep—part of the great conservative wish to throw off the yoke of the “racism” charge. Has led to the irrational support of Powell, Cain, West, and Carson for high office as well.

What has been wrong with Cain, West and Carson?

Allen West I especially like.

Congolezza, this country already has too many unproductive citizens and we just can’t afford any more. In fact, we can no longer afford to support the ones we have.

When Boko Haram kidnapped hundreds of girls, we did not take refugees, we gave them a #hashtag

When ISIS killed the Yazidi’s, we did not take refugees, we gave them a #hashtag

When ISIS killed Catholics in general, we did not take refugees, we gave them a #hashtag

Give the Muslims Jihadi’s a #hashtag and a big beautiful safe zone in Syria or Saudi Arabia

The GOPE has spoken. Their Chamber of Crony Corruption Masters have made their decision, they are perfectly willing to accept huge loses from terrorist attacks inside the USA of American citizens to continue lining their bank accounts. More cheap labor. There used to be American companies, now you just have corrupt companies.

She is part of the Globalist Bush clan. Not at all surprising that she wishes to import anti American anti Christians into the USA.

I just have nothing to say to or about these people any more.

If we have learned anything about our government over the last decade, it's that we have virtually no allies in the struggle to maintain a Constitutional Republic.

And another one goes to the dark side.

Fine, Condi, you house a few in your home and get your entire neighborhood to do the same.

Another Establishment denizen of Utopia that exists in the world of the Council of Foreign Relations and the UN!

We, the People, can help provide a "safe space" for people in one of the Muslim countries rather than bringing the lot of them here to endanger our safety!

This is or should the first responsibility of America's leaders. Knowing that it is not, doesn't mean that the country's responsible leaders shouldn't step in and provide protection for the citizens of America!

NO Condi - the refugees should be placed in a ME safe zone - protected by us - and returned to their Syrians cites when ISIS is destroyed.

Europe’s taking them in because Europe wants cheap labor to work their factories - and they’ve accepted that trade off... nuts as it is.

We should not take these people in - period. The United States did NOT take in German and Japanese ‘refugees’ during World War II... We also didn’t educate German and Japanese youths in elite colleges teaching engineering and weapons development.

Our leaders back then cared more about protecting the country than about ‘how they looked’ to elite friends. “Oh, am I the most ‘compassionate’... am I cool?”

“Lots of people wanted her to run for Pres.”

I think this kind of kills that possibility off. I’d run a commercial against her with her own words.

They can’t vet these people and they know it, so to claim we should accept any of them is silly.
