Two people have been killed in gunfire and explosions as French police carried out a raid in northern Paris early this morning.
A siege ensued after officers stormed an apartment early this morning which was thought to contain terror suspects behind the attacks on Friday.
A suicide bomber detonated her explosive vest during the raid, killing herself and seriously injuring five police officers, a firefighter, and killing a police dog named Diesel.
French media reported that another terrorist suspect was killed by a police sniper.
Reports initially came through of three deaths as a result of the raid on the residential building, however this number was later revised down.
Seven people have been arrested, with a government spokesperson confirming that the operation has ended.
One man wearing only a shirt was seen being detained by officers and led away in handcuffs.
I mourn the death of that police dog
God bless those officers.
They said there was a woman involved in the massacre of Paris.

Per CNN there was an operation ready to go and the tip/intel stopped it. Apparently there was a lot of firepower in the apartment where they were staying.
Nice work by the French.

On another thread, I suggested don't bother trying to take them alive. They are unlikely to talk (one terrorist who was caught in Germany loaded and rollin' on his way to the initial Paris attack still refuses to talk), will get interference run by liberal "rights" groups, and as I figured, they would be wired with explosives attempting to take out others with them. Bullet to the head for the jihadis.

Merkel says cancelling football match was ‘responsible’ decision
“I was just as sad as the millions of fans that the match was cancelled. But the security officials took a responsible decision,” Merkel said in a brief statement to reporters on Wednesday.
“These are difficult decisions, perhaps the most difficult given the conflicting priorities of freedom and security. But yesterday it was right to decide based on security.”
Now, all the family of these vermin, and their silent associates, their mosques should pay a heavy price. They should pay for being silent partners.
