Obama says gun control to be top issue of final year

President Obama hopes to make gun control the top issue of his final year in office, saying Americans aren’t more violent than other people but they “have more deadly weapons to act out their rage.”

In an interview published Tuesday in GQ magazine, Mr. Obama said easy access to guns is “the only variable” between the U.S. and other developed countries.

“The main thing that I’ve been trying to communicate over the last several of these horrific episodes is that, contrary to popular belief, Americans are not more violent than people in other developed countries,” Mr. Obama said. “But they have more deadly weapons to act out their rage.”

Talk to oprah and the brain dead millions of women who hang on her every word. She pushed him and bazinga! Now look.

I have come to the conclusion that the 19th amendment was a mistake.

When beset by the problems of the world, such as invading Muslim hordes, it might be an acceptable option for women to put their hinds up in the air and submit, but it is not an acceptable option for men, even though Muslims are known to be not so picky about such things.

We should not be listening to people who are evolved by nature to submit when confronted with violence. We should be listening to those who are evolved to fight back. Touchy Feely emotion driven decisions have no place in a civilization that is carved out of bloodshed.

I would suggest the 19th amendment be replaced by a simple taxation requirement. All who pay taxes should be allowed to vote. Those who do not should not be allowed to vote.

Nothing good can come of including the opinions of financial parasites.

Obama gun view out of step with public opinion: Column

The NRA has a higher approval rating than the president because it’s in sync with Americans’ beliefs.

the NRA,with a 54% favorable rating, is actually more popular than President Obama. By contrast, Obama’s most recent approval rating from Gallup was 48%. This is particularly striking given that the NRA has faced unrelentingly hostile treatment from most press and pundits, while President Obama has received treatment that is, to put it mildly, far more generous.

Even left-Democrat Sen. Al Franken of Minnesota says he’s unsure about whether he’d support an assault weapon ban. This is, I presume, because he fears that even a blue state like Minnesota doesn’t want more restrictive gun laws, and that a different position will hurt him in the coming election.

In other words, it seems likely that this Washington Post claim is right: That the NRA is actually winning.

How can that be? Simple enough. The NRA more closely reflects the views of most Americans on gun issues than do Democratic pundits — or Barack Obama.

Somebody’s out of the mainstream, all right. It’s just not the gun-rights supporters.

Makes sense. Leave the populace defenseless against among other things their own unconstitutional governmental tyrants who want to take away their constitutionally protected rights and freedoms. Totally consistent with Obama’s agenda of “fundamentally changing America” from a free Constitutional Republic to a Socialist State.

Impeach the Traitor in Chief.

France, the liberal gun control mecca, showed us what really happens when the bad guys have the guns and you don’t.

No gun control law in the world has ever stopped someone bent on committing murder.

Obama is completely detached from reality when he says taking away every one’s guns would make us a lot safer.

All those innocent dead people in Paris say different.

Barky and those like him demand that we not judge Islam based on the actions of just a few (tens of thousands) lunatics.

However, he then goes on to demand that the Constitutional rights of 90 million Americans be infringed based on the actions of a handful of lunatics.

One more time: Come and get them.

Not sure Id be getting all that upset just now. He has almost 0 support in the legislature as well as the general population.Even with the press squarely in his cormer this wont make any substantive headway. That and nothing he’s touched so far has materialized....jobs, foriegn policy, nothing. ObamaCare Im not giving him credit for because he wasnt actively involved. He just rubber stamped what the House & Senate cooked up. Barry is easily the most unaccomplisehd president in the republics history. He talks a lot and thats about the end of his ability. The only way he could accomplish his goal is to declare martial law. I suppose he could cause enough unrest to attempt it but I think the outcome would be very very bad.

Whatever Obama does this last year, I won’t give them up and they will have to come and get them (after I’ve dispersed the bulk of it).

See, I'm with you here, but the problem is that they won't just up and come for all the guns. They will show up at your door unannounced, or will pull you over while separated from your stockpile. After you're in custody, they'll raid your house, confiscate your firearms and then they may even let you go (after a good amount of time spent behind bars, or with a stiff financial penalty, so as to bankrupt you and keep you from ever owning another gun).

There will be no big "coming for the guns" or time to prepare for the day they come for yours. We've seen it time and again.

A system of licensing and registration is the perfect device to deny gun ownership to the bourgeoisie.

See my post #52 above. I think we're all waiting for something that's actually never going to happen.

Paris should strengthen our resolve to protect freedom.

America’s domestic enemies cannot be appeased by giving them a symbolic “win” in gun control. We cannot pretend that a minor infringement on our God-given right to keep and bear arms will satisfy their hunger for a win. They will continue tightening the ratchet until we are disarmed and incapable of resisting domestic or foreign enemies.

The answer to all new restrictions on the individual right to keep and bear arms is “no”, not even if the thugs pretend they are merely “commonsense” infringements on that fundamental human right. As soon as Obama is out of office and we have a real president, we need to repeal most or all of the existing restrictions on that right.

Let there be “a rifle behind every blade of grass” and a pistol in the pocket of every “infidel”. And let every muzzie in America with evil intent feel the hackles on his neck tingling every time an “infidel” looks his way.

So, Bammie thinks private gun ownership is the only real difference between us and other “developed” states? Well, this time he’s right but not in the way he intends.

Guns are Bammie’s elephant in the room. He would love to order general confiscation but cooler heads know that insurrection & chaos would break out. His frustration is visible every time he flaps his gums about guns.
