ISIL Financed by 40 Countries, Including G20 Member States - Putin
Sputnik ^ | 11-16-2015 | Sputnik

Posted on 11/16/2015 9:19:39 PM PST by tcrlaf

Putin said at the G20 summit that Russia has presented examples of terrorism financing by individual businessmen from 40 countries, including from member states of the G20.

"I provided examples related to our data on the financing of Islamic State units by natural persons in various countries. The financing comes from 40 countries, as we established, including some G20 members," Putin told reporters following the summit.

The fight against terrorism was a key topic at the summit, according to the Russian leader.

"This topic (the war on the terror) was crucial. Especially after the Paris tragedy, we all understand that the means of financing terrorism should be severed," the Russian president said.

Russia has also presented satellite images and aerial photos showing the true scale of the Islamic State oil trade.

"I've demonstrated the pictures from space to our colleagues, which clearly show the true size of the illegal trade of oil and petroleum products market. Car convoys stretching for dozens of kilometers, going beyond the horizon when seen from a height of four-five thousand meters," Putin told reporters after the G20 summit.

The Russian president also said that Syrian opposition is ready to launch an anti-ISIL operation if Russia provides air support.

"A part of the Syrian opposition considers it possible to begin military actions against ISIL with the assistance of the Russian air forces, and we are ready to provide that assistance," the Russian president said.

Why Obama chose TODAY, after 18 months of bombings, to go after ISIS's Oil trucks, suddenly becomes VERY CLEAR, doesn't it?

Well... Obama did say he was transparent.

I think you could end the ISIS war machine in thirty days, without dropping a single bomb.

Go ID all funding that goes toward the ISIS machine. Once you establish the charities or businessmen involved...start stealing their money...ALL of it. Move it into an account and tell the individuals involved that they can have their money back after ten years of non-existence of ISIS is noted.

Touch every single individual....no matter who they are or how little they gave to ISIS. They apparently can’t handle wealth....so they don’t need the money (any of it).

My guess is no member of the Senate will dare agree with this because they themselves get campaign funding from the same people. That’s the root of this entire problem.

my personnel feeling is that if you were to assassinate about 20 key individual along with taking the assets of the family of the men killed then let it be known that was how you were going to fight isis The group would quickly loose any organized action.

I read the article, and it did not name names. Is Putin threatening to reveal names in order to pressure other nations?

Putin may have been directly threatening to expose Obama by saying, “You aided the rise of ISIS by funding it and here is the proof!” And then comes the proof...

That’s not the American way, these types of stereotypes are not helpful, that’s not how Americans show compassion,... and other assorted butt nuggets from the Won.

No wonder Obama was so testy today - his boys are really going to get hit where they live.

If the oil tankers come to a halt, it is going to cause massive problems for ISIS.

If the funders of ISIS are exposed it will include the Saudi Government and some of the world’s richest men - who have been buying off Western politicians as well.

Those corrupt politicians in turn use their public treasuries to further support ISIS (though not directly or openly). Obama, Erdogan, probably Hollande (although the Russians will probably not expose that if he gets on the right side now).

“I read the article, and it did not name names. Is Putin threatening to reveal names in order to pressure other nations?”

From this, and other articles today, I get the impression that is exactly what Putin threatened Obama he would do yesterday, in their “private” meeting.

You’ll note how quickly Obama went after the ISIS Oil transport trucks today, following it? He has likely known, since the beginning, where those trucks were.

My spousal unit and I both have been saying lately that Pooty Poot has been making more sense than our own leaders. Scary.

Good for Putin. I support anyone or any tactic that destroys ISIS.

France and others suddenly raiding homes and grabbing people and weapons. What does this tell you? Our intelligence services and theirs have known who to go after all along. They ‘save’ these moves for when the governments need the headlines. Our leaders play a dangerous game with the lives of their citizens.

A solution. Nice to see an actual solution.

And they should pay for doing that.

I can see, pardon if its insensitive, heads exploding in liberal enclaves if both LePen and Cruz are elected. The countries like Germany which are committed to cultural suicide will find themselves inundated by even more of these animals.

I saw a report on the the oil tanker strike - it only took a few planes (4 ea. A-10s, 2 ea. AC-130s), to destroy over 100 oil tankers. Apparently, hundreds are clustered at the same spot every day waiting to load. Like fish in a barrel.

That article estimated that about a thousand trucks were involved in the trade, so at that rate, they could shut it down almost immediately. Hit it again tomorrow, and few will show up to work the next day. Hit them for a week anywhere they are seen, and there won’t be enough left to go back to work, even if they wanted to.

Without any fuel supply, trucks stop running, and food stops being delivered - total collapse in a couple of weeks, probably with unacceptable civilian impact.

Without the money from oil sales, they could get by for a while on credit and theft, but fighters might not be paid at the end of the month. Foreign sponsors would have to ramp up their spending.

If we had really tried to crush ISIS, they would have been crushed long ago. Before Paris. Before the next one.
