A Texas lawyer posted the "cookie cutter" comment on Facebook and added, "The only evidence possibly presented would be that they were wearing club colors."

The indicted motorcycle enthusiasts were part of the 177 bikers arrested after the Twin Peaks restaurant shootings in May.

As reported by Breitbart Texas, the McLennan County grand jury took just nine hours on Tuesday to indict all 106 Twin Peaks bikers in cases presented to them during their session. The grand jury indicted all 106 for the crime of engaging in organized criminal activity under a Texas criminal statute relating to a "criminal street gang."

The above-posted thread title could be misleading somewhat. The actual title of the article at Breitbart is:

>>> Saputo added, “The ‘criminal street gang’ offenses have come under frequent scrutiny by various state and federal appellate courts for this very reason. Attaching ‘criminality’ to a group as a whole is a dangerous way for the state to overstep its authority and our constitutional rights. The fact that it only took nine hours for the state to obtain 106 indictments is a testament to that fact.” <<<

Any other questions?

The engaging in organized criminal activity offense itself butts right up against the First Amendment. The difference between a `criminal street gang' and a legal club is often in the eye of the beholder...

Section 71.02 of the Texas Penal Code provides that engaging in organized criminal activity for these crimes is a first-degree felony. The possible sentence is up to life in prison or from 15 to 99 years in prison.

That is, everyone is a felon. It's at the whim of "government" whether or not to imprison someone. This is tyranny.

I hope this cluster goes to trial. No real dog in the hunt here, but this is going to be fun to watch.

“I hope this cluster goes to trial....”
***************************************************
Almost all will certainly NOT go to trial...charges will be dropped at some convenient time (likely in the distant future if the “State” has its way). The ones that will go to a very short procedural trial will be for those bikers who are so beaten down that they FOOLISHLY agree to a plea agreement just to end their pain.

eye of the beholder...

Yes, and the beholder will be the Jurors, who will probably take a dislikable view of those even involved on the periphery of this murder scene and likely will be handing down very harsh punishments for those proven as shooters.

Criminal bike gangs have previously been able to stay under Texas public radar even while very much focused on by Texas LEO. Twin Peaks changed all that and now they will find no sympathy from the public for such stupidity and lack of concern for innocent citizens safety.

Welcome to Texas Department of Corrections, fools.

If the SPLC gets their way, and they often do, we will be charged with hate crimes for visiting FR. Hillary Clinton quite readily stated that the NRA and "probably" Republicans are her enemies. If she is elected POTUS, what do you think will happen?

Does this need to get repeated again?

Turn loose the ballistics reports and let those concerned view this cluster in all it’s glory.

Hitlery getting elected is pretty far off subject to this thread, but yes, it will be SHTF time.

It is as unlikely she will get elected as for the biker gangs to get off. Don’t think the juries will be buying into the horsehockey that “they were at Twin Peaks just to discuss motorcycle safety”.

Does this need to get repeated again?

It does. But it goes in one ear and out the other for the one who wanted this matter to not even be discussed on FR

Jim, I bring this to your attention due to the many threads posted by bike gang sympathizers in which threats and personal attacks have been issued against many Freepers who challenge the voracity of the claims and arguments posted by these bike gang sympathizers. Are these many and continuing similar threads which are in support of criminal bike gangs like Bandidos, on FR something FR wishes to continue? I hope, like the mass of pro Ron Paul threads, these too can be stopped so FR can be allowed not being lumped in as supporting these outlaw gangs by association.

Texas has deemed bikers to be outlaws without court proceedings.

Too bad I blew your little mind up. But then again if that is all ya got.........

I know what you could do to help your criminal biker buddies out, volunteer to take their place in criminal court and do their time. That way they could still run the roads and beat each other with ballpeen hammers while heading to the titty bar to shoot it up.
