French president calls Paris attacks ‘act of war’ by Islamic State [retaliation "merciless"]

PARIS - French President Francois Hollande decried Saturday the massacres across Paris as an "act of war" carried out by the Islamic State, amplifying signals of a major response from France after coordinated attacks that killed at least 127 people.

A day after declaring a nationwide emergency, Hollande said the attacks had been "organized and planned from outside" and vowed "merciless" retaliation.

The statement also marked the clearest sign that authorities are drawing links between Friday's carnage and the Islamic State despite any known claim of responsibility.

The attacks, Hollande said, were "committed by a terrorist army, the Islamic State group, a jihadist army, against France, against the values that we defend everywhere in the world, against what we are: A free country that means something to the whole planet."

I hope so as well. A smaller yield device that would take out ISIS stronghold and deliver a clear message...you're done! The only thing they understand is overwhelming force.

All this engagement we've seen lately just gives’em a woody. They love it. They love to battle. They live for this.

Wipe out thousands of these pukes with nukes all in a flash. Break their will to carry on. It worked in Japan, it'll work in Raqqa. Icing on the cake would be Tehran, Mecca. A boy could hope.

At least one French-made bomb delivered by a French-made plane will hit Raqqa ... that will show them how the French fight when they get mad.

I hope they use THIS bomb. 350kt ASMP

Agreed. WW1 broke the french. They are fighting in parts of afrika today. We dont hear about it unless we read the ukdaily news since American journalism is about cover up and lies and talking airheads on all sides, not reporting facts.

Facebook is, as always, disgracing themselves over this issue.

And how is this Facebook's fault? Facebook is a company in California. (NB: I don't use FB)

I tell you how they could do it.

1. Summon the political will to achieve the goal, which is to eradicate the threat.

2. End all immigration and travel to France by moslems. (You might scoff at this, but France has closed their borders, effectively instituting this.)

3. Declare islam a treasonous cult and any and all practitioners as traitors.(France has already banned elements of the moslem dress code.)

4. Deport all non citizens who are moslems.

5. Sort the rest of them out. Prosecute criminals to the fullest extent of the law. Fill the jails with them, zero tolerance for the smallest offense. Deal with those deemed security risks in a harsh manner.

6. Bomb head office to bits. Bounce the rubble.

Problem solved.

This is a 1300 year war. Islam first invaded Europe in 711 AD and they have not given up. Time to end it now. We have the means, we just need the desire.

We have seen too many times in recent decades the disasterous results of fighting a “PC war”. I know there are rules for fighting a war, but being PC ain’t one of ‘em!

If the liar were serious all the Mooslim no-go zones in France would be in flames at this very minute.

Europeans can be a cruel heartless foe—the French can be the worst of the lot. they don’t want to fight but if forced they can be a hard enemy. They should drop a Nuke on this Raqque capital of the Chiphate—show em what real terror is like. Drop bomb—then wait a day for all the news crews to come to report on the horror—and drop a second one. What good is having nukes if you don’t use them once and a while? I am sure Putin wouldn’t mind.

Militray air bases in France

French nuclear aircraft carrier

The French have been fighting as our allies for quite some time now. They have taken the lead in fighting the Islamist in Mali, Chad and Sudan. Perhaps a little respect and appreciation for them as they mourn their dead?

The money behind these bastards is in Jeddah and Riyadh. Mecca is their nuclear core emotionally.

Drop the biggest bomb we have on each of these cities and never look back!

These Saudi financiers have killed all these Frenchmen and the Russians on that Jet Airliner over Syria and approximately 10,000 Americans and countless thousands of others in recent decades. Maybe Putin will do what has to be done???

Respectfully, I don’t think France has been a real good Allie of the U.S. against terrorists. Not letting US Jets cross France air space in the attack on Libya being one example.

That said, I totally agree with your last sentence.

The French have not had courage, fearlessness, or determination since 30 May 1431...

Don't forget the Battle of Verdun (1916): "They shall not pass." But, yeah, your point is valid. WW I destroyed the French. and WW II destroyed the rest of Western Europe. The will to save their culture is, I fear, gone.

But I'm not being smug here. The U.S. is not much different. We have not become unbalanced by war. We have become unbalanced by 25 years of the rot known as political correctness.

How things would be different if Reagan, Thatcher, and John Paul II were in power today...

Charles De Gaul was anti-American and it took a while for his influence to wane and yes I was pissed at France over that Libya thing too. France today is not the anti-American France of De Gaul other then the UK it is our only real ally in Western/Central Europe.

France, Europe and the US will do nothing.

If you cannot even identify the enemy, you have no hope to even thick about fighting back. The enemy is ALL mooselimbs. The only way to fight this war, and it is a war, is to begin cleaning our the nests of mooselimbs embedded in every western country. Islam should be banned, all mosques shut down and searched for evidence, then blown up. All mooselimbs regardless of citizenship kick out permanently.

If these steps do not happen, and they won’t, then you know that the West is completely unwilling to fight this war and will not defend themselves. Every man for himself.

Foil the Iran treaty?

This is France, the greatest surrender monkeys in the world.

Hollande will talk tough while assuring the Iranians that the treaty is golden.
Business before victory.
It is the French way.
