Time for GOP panic? Establishment worried Carson or Trump might win (Drudge Siren)
Washington Post ^ | November 12, 2015

Less than three months before the kick-off Iowa caucuses, there is growing anxiety bordering on panic among Republican elites about the dominance and durability of Donald Trump and Ben Carson and widespread bewilderment over how to defeat them.

Party leaders and donors fear nominating either man would have negative ramifications for the GOP ticket up and down the ballot, virtually ensuring a Hillary Rodham Clinton presidency and increasing the odds that the Senate falls into Democratic hands.

Establishment tears are sweet.

Either way the gop loses. They pick a conservative and they lose. The pick some puke like jebito, the base walks and they implode. Either way, the gop as we know it and hate it is soon to join the whigs on the ashheap of history.

Happy days.

Before Tuesday’s debate in Milwaukee, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker had a private reception at the Pfister Hotel with party leaders, donors and operatives.

Looking at resurecting Walker maybe??

“Time for a third party, the GOP establishment is not one of us!”

Nope. It is time to take the GOP back from the saboteurs. Let them go form another party

Even including Carson’s name in the headline is ridiculous.

I wouldn't put anything past them. The GOPe is desperate. They know that if Trump is the nominee, the Republican Party will be forever changed. And they will no long be a part of it. No Karl Rove. No Prince Rebus. No Jebbie Bush or any Bush for that matter.

I have no doubt that if Trump becomes nominee, he'll do a massive housecleaning of the Republican Party and it won't be pretty. Well, it might be pretty to us. And about time.

I held my nose and voted for him.

Obama was just wreaking havoc and I couldn’t accept four more years of it.

You’re right though. Romney would take Yep and Marco and a few other’s votes. Maybe.

It’s not a done deal when a loser comes back. Nixon was an exception to that.

Oh yeah, draft a winner like Romney....Boy! But did he ever shine in debate vs. Obama!

Right now, the leading Repub Party candidates are opposed strongly by the Dem Party and the Repub Party leadership.

Why pick losers like the current Repub front runners when we really need more leadership like Obama’s butt boys, Boner & McSurrender?

(good kool ide...yum yum)

The GOP worry way too much. Besides stuff that is going on now, with the students in protests on the college campus in certain parts of the country pretty much throw the election in the direction of for example, the Donald.

Oh, please. The only thing that pack of ward-heelers and cookie-jar raiders fears is that they won't have the sort of control over the President that will allow them to enrich themselves further. They're not worried about the Senate, they're not worried about the House, they're worried about the back rooms.

The only things that would ensure another Democratic destruction derby in office are their own corruption and utter incompetence. Stand aside, boys, and let the adults play for a change. We'll call for you when it's safe.

Yes. Any more questions?
