When Western Illinois University puts together their annual mock presidential election, some pundits tend to perk up and pay attention. After all, they accurately predicted Barack Obamaâs presidential win in 2007, and his narrower reelection win in 2011, after the same system had been used to astonishingly predict every presidential election since 1975 with 100% accuracy.
The results of WIUâs 2015 mock election are in, and if you tend to take the mainstream media seriously, the results of that election will more than likely surprise you: Bernie Sanders won the presidency, then the general election⦠and he did both in a massive landslide.

>>100% Accuracy Record<<
There goes THAT record!
Hey, an open commie couldn’t go “dis not be communism. Dis be capitawism’s fawlt!” when his plans don’t work out.
Heh.
One already did.
Someone please sit these morons down and gently explain that Col Sanders has a better change of being elected than Comrade Sanders.
More top notch journalism: “Bernie Sanders won the presidency, then the general election . . .”
So after he “won the presidency”, exactly what general election did he run in?
They “ran” Burnout Sanders vs. Jebbie The Bush.
No wonder Sanders “won” by a landslide.
Doesn’t he first have to be the Dem candidate to begin his ascendancy?
Chances are these students have their heads up where the sun does not shine.
If they're right, AMERICA is in far, far worse shape than the current assessment of the country “walking the plank...”.
If the nation elects this man, it is the total demise of 240 years of collective history and greatness.
If the nation elects Hilliary, it's all over too.
On the other hand, after the meteoric rise of Barakeh Hussein Ovomit and being elected twice, any possible combination is possible.
Oh woe the Republic...
You would think, but it would be interesting to go back in time to see the collective FR put down of Obama's candidacy in 2007.
He was elected to General. Sanders was only a Col. up until then.
Why would The Bern have to win the Democrat nomination? He isn’t even a Democrat, hasn’t been for years (if ever).
Agreed. This would be correct. Because Sanders/OMalley would crush Bush/Rubio. The entire Tea Party would stay home.
A bunch of future Starbucks-barista college students trying got keep their grades inflated can no longer correctly predict the GOP nominee.
“Bernie Sanders won the presidency, then the general election, and he did both in a massive landslide.”
First the Presidency, then the general election? Twice in one election cycle? My, that Bernie is just bubbling with awesomeness.
Remember the political scientists who had a perfect record of predicting presidents based on their model in 2012 . . . who said Romney would win?
“it would be interesting to go back in time to see the collective FR put down of Obama’s candidacy in 2007.”
Even in late October 2008, some FReepers were “guaranteeing” PA, OH, MI would go R because of polling bias and the “Bradley Effect.”
Dear leader isn’t blatant about his communist desires like BS is. BS won’t try to hide the fact that what he pushes in office will be socialism, so it’d be rather hard for him to turn around and call it capitalism when it doesn’t work out.
Build a wall around that asylum.
Not if the Clinton Crime Family has anything to say about it.
Remember, in the Soviet Union Lenin and Stalin established what they called “state capitalism”, not communism. When examples of the Soviet Union’s dysfunctions manifested during the cold war, prominent leftists like J.K. Galbraith, Robert Heilbroner, and Michael harrington would dismiss the USSR as being yet another rendition of capitalism.
