Dr. Ben Carson...told a prominent group of Latino elected officials that he also supports giving illegal immigrants a path to legalization and eventual citizenship.
Addressing the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO) in Nevada...
He added that, "as a compassionate nation, we should be asking what can we do to help the people in nations who feel that they don't have an opportunity." He cited Cameroon as an example where American companies are helping to develop land to produce produce, which benefits those in Cameroon who need jobs in addition to the American companies.
Regarding the country's illegal immigrants, Carson said, "many of them have never known any other country … so where are you going to send them?"
Carson said the country must "provide them a way so that they don't have to hide in the shadows" and "give them an opportunity to become guest-workers–they have to register, they have to enroll in a back tax program."
"And if they want to become citizens they have to get in the line with everyone else… because we have to pay homage to people who've done it the right way," Carson added.
He also told the audience that "what threatens to destroy is division" and blasted the "purveyors of division" who try to divide Americans based on race, age, income and a host of other issues...

Go read the whole speech if you want it. This post is about his path to amnesty for the current illegals. The subject line mentions he’s for border security.
I also left out the part where he said he’s ONLY for border security to keep out Islamic terrorists and that he didn’t care if someone from Honduras snuck in.
Some more muddled thinking from the empty pyramid. His statements are beginning to border on idiotic.

Putting Christianity above the Constitution will get you amnesty and open borders every time. There is no commandment in the Bible to enforce the borders.
Cruz has the right balance of being a man of faith and supporting religious freedom but knowing that governing is about following the Constitution and not being so “compassionate” that the liberals pack the country with third-worlders who will elect a permanent Democrat majority who will usher in permanent communism and abortion.

I get really tired of that excuse. Many immigrants have never known the USA before they came here.
I don’t know if Carson is for real or not. He maybe getting an unfair shake...but, there’s something to be said when stuff just keeps coming out. What will come out if he gets the nom and the Dems start digging up his skeletons?
Up until about a week ago, Carson was on my list of “tolerable” candidates, which is only about 4 or 5 out of those that are viable. Then comes support for TPP, Puerto Rico statehood, and now amnesty for illegals. Now he’s sounding worse than Yeb!

I think supporters of other candidates would be well served to make the case for their candidates and drop these Leftist style “slander and smear the opposition” debate tactics.
Knowing mis-repesenting a candidate’s position just because you dislike the candidate does not help you make your case.

Carson wants the Black Candidate treatment, no scrutiny, no criticism, just head nodding, agreement, and groveling from the white folks. Who can blame him, it worked for 0bama, and is still working for him.
Nothing to talk about until our borders are secure, illegal immigrant criminals are deported, all people on visas who are “missing” and the illegal child immigrants that were scattered around the country are accounted for. All current immigration laws need to be enforced before anymore discussion. The legislators and others in our government that allowed this to happen should lose all retirement benefits and be imprisoned if not hanged for allowing and cooperating with the invasion of America.
