So it sounds like one of four options on illegals:
1) Believe Trump: Get them out, make them come back legally.
2) Don’t Believe Trump: Amnesty, or at best ignoring them.
3) Believe Cruz: Do nothing, then legalize them in some way.
4) Don’t Believe Cruz: He’ll deport them, he’s just telling us now.
Sorry, I still choose Option 1 since I don’t think Cruz is lying to us.

It all comes down to money. The Republican donors were PERFECTLY CLEAR that they would not support ANY CANDIDATE that was serious about cutting the supply of cheap labor. NO WAY. Cruz really had no choice in the matter.

Cruz's last statement about amnesty that I know of was in 2014. He was against a legalization amnesty.
Corollary: Carson needs to be eliminated for Cruz to move up.

Doesn’t sound like he’s expediting anyone although he has said the system needs to be fixed so people applying to immigrate don’t have to wait years to get here if they are qualified.

Except we need Cruz at AG not in a do-nothing veep spot.
Well, I have considered that .. but I can’t see Carson as VP; because I seriously doubt he could be elected Pres; especially after 8 years of Trump.
I want Cruz as VP, because Trump needs to have a person who can deal with the in’s and out’s of Constitutional Law, as it pertains to any legislation Trump will need in order to get his stuff done. This could be crucial.
I just don’t see Carson being of any help there. And, even if Cruz is head of the DOJ, with all the mess they have going, Cruz would possibly be too busy to be of any help to Trump.
So, It’s difficult to measure .. because while it’s assumed the VP spot is just a do-nothing place-holder; in Trump’s case I don’t see it that way. Cruz will be the authority regarding whether certain laws are abolished while others are kept. Cruz will also be crucial to writing new law so that when the DemocRATS try to take it to the Supreme Court, it will be able to stand muster.
That’s my best argument.

I have never attacked Carson’s faith. There is simply too much else to criticize him on. He has kooky ideas about things and he says kooky things. Not my fault. Also not my fault that Carson has poor ideas on every issue.
1. Wants to let every illegal stay and give them all citizenship.
2. Isn’t sure what type of weapons are appropriate for the average American to be allowed to own.
3. Wants to get rid of Medicare and give seniors $2,000 toward what would be about a $10,000 to $20,000 annual premium. This would bankrupt your Mom and mine in a year.
4. Wants to make bankrupt Puerto Rico a state.
Carson is a disaster on many levels. His religion is the least of it. He would be a clueless and inept President.
I am not a Carson supporter. I believe it is disgusting that the mediots are trying to impugn a great man. His accomplishments speak for themselves.
Now whether he’d be a great president is another matter. Is a gifted surgeon the man to run a government? Off hand, I would say probably not. But that does not lessen my respect for him as a man.
For the record I am a Trump/Cruz supporter. Both of them equally.
