Dems don’t believe “Trump is trailing Carson,” 'they got beat by “Carson-mania”'
Coach Is Right ^ | 11/6/2015 | Kevin Collins

When does the gang at Fox News start saying Matt Bevin’s huge upset in Kentucky was due to “Carson-mania?” After all, don’t they all believe Ben Carson has grabbed up all the excitement on today’s political stage? How about some of the columnists who are shilling so hard for Carson? Where are their joyful shouts that “Bevin won because of Carson-mania?”

Democrats can apparently recognize and acknowledge scary poll numbers better than the Republican establishment and the Donald Trump hating media. With their noses rubbed in the dirt they have had to acknowledge the truth.

The latest Reuters poll of 10,500 people shows Trump leading Carson 31/19 so Democrats called what happened to them in Kentucky “Trump-mania” not “Carson-mania.”

And by the way, when will the sagacious Charles Krauthammer, George Will and Brit Hume smugly smile into a camera-wearing their “Carson for President” shirts-and say, “See, we told you so; as soon as Carson got traction he excited the base in Kentucky and his Carson-mania carried Bevin to victory!”

Of course NONE of this will ever happen because all of these fakes know Carson is an empty suit who has nothing to offer that Trump won’t do ten times better. They know that, but because Trump is a big red flashing sign saying “I win, you lose,” they will never tell the truth until Election Night.

Maybe the Democrats never believed the polls that had their man Jack Conway beating Matt Bevin by 5 points. They were 14 points wrong!

Maybe the Democrats weren’t really surprised when Bevin and running mate Jenean Hampton, both TEA party conservatives, both unafraid Christians, and both military veterans won so handily it made saying the truth easy.

To be sure, the Bevin/Hampton victory was a big kick in the teeth for the Democrats; but it was an even bigger blow to the Republican establishments in Frankfurt and Washington because Bevin won in spite of them, not because of them.

When the anonymous Democrat operative in Kentucky blurted out the truth and tagged it as “Trump-mania” he made the leaders of both Parties and the media cringe.

All of them are holding on to the hope that psy-ops polls of a few hundred people showing Carson beating Trump (and a new one showing him beating Hillary Clinton by ten points), will fool Republican primary voters into nominating Carson because he would be easy for Clinton to wipe the floors with.

Hopefully, the 'moderate' Republicrat and Independent voters won't get worked up into a lather about electing America's second 'black' president!

How useful would it be to rescuing America from a bottomless swamp to place a retired brain surgeon whose handlers correspond regularly with Farrakhan in the White Hut?

This surgeon has only been a registered Republican for a year or so.

I guess the only way to prevent this crap from being posted along with our articles is to stop using apostrophes.

I have no problem with Carson doing well in the polls. This is not a coronation. Trump has to fight for the nomination.

What really happened is local and had nothing to do with Trump or Carson

The Democrat was labeled correctly as a coal hating Obama clone

Obama lost the democrats the election

Bevins is a Friend of Coal and and totally anti Obama

Bingo. I wouldn't put it past the Clinton machine to fund Carson and/or pimp up favorable news stories about him to attempt to set him up; then they'll wipe him out in the general.

Unfortunately, I’ve come to the conclusion that there are far more white guilters in the republican party than I had thought possible. That’s the only thing I can come up with to explain Carson’s polling numbers (unless they are fake.) He supports amnesty, more gun control, and has announced that he and Sharpton have the same goals. Despite all that, his numbers remain high, so it must be white guilt keeping him afloat.

Their are two things that bother me about Trump. The first is his New York City accent and sway. The second is his penchant for personal attacks on his opponents rather than focus on issue differences. I believe these are the reasons he has such a high disapproval rating.

Ummm Bevin is more Donald Trump. The comparisons I heard this week are all to Trump, not Carson.

I guess when you have nothing to campaign on, you are reduced to these childish personal attacks.

Really stupid political tactics to insult voters you are going to need get to elect your guy.

Exactly. Love how "free market Conservatives" love competition, unless their candidate has to compete for votes then they want a monopoly.

Primaries are like sparing in Boxing, it is training to get ready for the big match, the general election.

To get it right, you have to replace the slanting apostrophes/parentheses (that some fonts have) with strictly vertical ones when you do a copy and paste. It’s the slanting ones that aren’t being recognized.

There’s another issue - the black diamond with white question mark. That seems to appear when there are extra spaces between sentences. The diamond appears as a place holder for the extra space. So if you copy and paste, make sure there is only one space between sentences, not two.

Those are the workarounds I have found.

Newest poll in Iowa (CNN) has Trump +2 today. Removing oldest poll from RCP shows a tie. The magical mystical Carson Iowa express is gone. Trump leads 3 of 4 Iowa polls in Iowa in last week.

If being a tea party conservative and an unafraid Christian were important in the election, then I don’t see a connection with “Trump Mania”, as he is neither. The evangelicals are leaning to Carson and Cruz, the Tea Party seems to be leaning to Cruz. As others have said this election was about Kentucky, not Trump.

Anyone who has been through the poor, coal towns in the southeastern part of KY and seen the devastation Obama has done to those towns would has been certain no Obama crony would get votes there. McConnell has done nothing for them either.

Carson is the GOPe plant to take votes away from Trump and the media, talking heads and RINO’s are all in on it...

If Trump wins, they won't have the money to line their pockets with and jobs are on the line...big, powerful jobs...you don't think that Trump has SS right now because of some pandering drug dealer...really people...it's because power and money are at stake...

Trump/Cruz are doing their jobs, and after this next debate you will see the writing on the wall...Trump is the ONLY one that can take Hillary out and she knows it, the GOPe knows it, the media, talking heads and RINOs know it...Trump has pulled back the drape and now we can see just how dirty and corrupt these people are, and he has shown us all what these candidate are all about...don't fall for it!!!

You can use find/replace in most editors and replace the offending quotation marks and apostrophes. The issue is incompatible character set of original article.

But that requires proof reading.

I agree with your take. I doubt Carson has even visited KY. He and most of the other candidates are focussing solely on the early primary states.

KY’s Obamacare exchange has been a disaster. It’s shutting down by the end of the year, dumping more than 50,000 people in the open market. Bevin hit home on that issue.

Bevin showed the GOP the winning message they should adopt for 2016. Run against Obama.

Bevin won by 80,000 votes - that’s pretty convincing especially considering the pre-election polls had him losing big.

I can’t believe the KY is still Rat led. Maybe they’ll be able to convince (aka strong arm) a few Rats to cross over before the 2016 election. You know, the old “you can join us or we’re going to find a strong and well funded challenger who can whip your butt”.
