Abolish TSA (and ideally the Dept. of Homeland Security as well). Leave airline security to each airline and airport authority.”

AMEN. I got into a huge battle with a real TSA jerk in Kansas City about five years ago. Haven’t flown since nor will I until they are gone. Would like to hear just one of our candidates bring up getting rid of TSA and putting airlines in charge of their own security.

And while we have these intrusive searches by the useless morons at the TSA, both W. and Obama threw open our borders to vast numbers of Muslims.

Idiots.

TSA is simply a government make-work program to feed union coffers and give more unemployed people a paycheck and a uniform.

A 95% "fail" rate on their operational tests is nothing to brag about.

But then again, "stopping" terrorism is not the point either. Another worthless government program is which spends billions and pads government rolls is.

I don't fly anymore. The only logical answer is NO LUGGAGE OR CARRYONS, also no transporting anything but the passengers. Only approved flying uniforms. All the stuff goes on a separate plane. Letting people bring technology on the plane is nuts.

I decided for myself after 911 that this would be the only way to do security safely and efficiently. Since it didn't happen, I don't fly.

The only logical answer is NO LUGGAGE OR CARRYONS,

"The only logical answer is confiscate all guns, knives & pitchforks from civilians!"

About the same logic in both statements. ( zero, zip, nada)

People kill people, not "Assault Suitcases". (You know, the scary black ones with the large capacity zippered side pockets and the extra handles...)

No luggage on planes is not the same as no weapons. Weapons already aren’t allowed on planes, so it doesn’t affect that. It just doesn’t make sense for people to have to be treated as criminals to get on and off planes because they have to have so much stuff with them. Think of how efficient flying would be if luggage were brought on another plane, perhaps shipped to your destination ahead of time. Nobody needs more than one relatively small carryon if they plan well.

Have you every had to deal with getting your “Lost Luggage” which actually DID fly on another aircraft?

Have you had to deal with this on an international flight, with connecting ground transportation already planned?

How about creating a Baggage Airline, but with designated “Baggage Escorts” who fly along with each shipment to ensure the timely arrival at the correct destination?

We’ll call them “Passengers”.

Have fun flying with your luggage. Driving, taking buses and cruising is for me anyway much more logical than putting up with airport security-chaos-herding.

I think we're on the cusp of a very different looking checkpoint experience in the next five years."

GREAT!! Finally we are going to get rid of the government checkpoints and privatize this to make it better.
