Sounds like the Russian daily sortie rate is in the 100s, meaning, they have very liberal ROE.
Something like our Mustangs had over Europe in 44-45. Find and destroy the enemy.
That’s how you win.
Go Ivan!
Yep, back when the Western Enemedia lied and got away with it. Sadly they can't fool people anymore so they try to rehabilitate their reputation by faking less bias.
Series and hugh?
Or sister moose cheese?
They’re just trying to demonize ole Pooty.
I’m sure that all he will do is say that these ISIS guys just need jobs.
LOL
1. Their ROE is probably very loose, and not that concerned with collateral damage. The lack of pinpoint precision in their released footage is a stark contrast to a western air strike.
2. They are probably making good use of eyes on the ground for their targeting, like we did in Afghanistan. They have access to the remains of the Syrian Intel network and Russian troops to direct their fire.
3. The media reporting has been controlled. When we bombed Iraq there were reporters all too willing to report "the horrors" being visited upon our enemies. Nobody is going to go down range with the Russians doing the bombing.
"There isn't a shred of evidence of that"
There is a great deal of circumstantial evidence of which I will mention a few points:
1. Putin had a great deal to gain from the apartment bombings. His handling of the response smoothed the way for him to become acting president of Russia very soon afterward.
2. In the Ryazan incident, sacks of explosive and a detonator were discovered in the basement of an apartment. Putin used this to justify an attack on Chechnya the same day. But then it became clear that the FSB was involved in placing this explosive. The FSB said it had just been a test of civilian alertness. But this was never properly investigated. Putin obviously has close connections with the FSB.
3. Alexander Litvinenko, who wrote a saying that the bombings were an FSB operation, had his book seized and was assassinated using a radioactive poison.
4. Two members of an independent commission into the bombings were killed.
5. It's not at all clear that FSB agents would necessarily have qualms about carrying out such an operation to the extent that they would not carry out their orders.
Of course there is a great deal of glorification of Putin on this website now, which is very strange for an American conservative site.
It is an open secret now that lots of people in Russia are paid to post propaganda on all sorts of Internet forums.
I wanted to see cluster bombs from F-16’s cut off the front and the rear of some of their convoys (a few minelets in there for fun) and then let A-10’s go after them with some Gatling-type action.
Don’t leave anything moving.
It may be hard to believe, but there really is substantial evidence that Putin was behind the 1999 Russian apartment bombings he blamed on the Chechens. Take a deep breath, and then read David Satter’s “The Shadow of Ryazan”:

What? Are you telling us that the Russian ROEs are being written by soldiers, not lawyers?
“There is a great deal of circumstantial evidence”
None of what you listed is circumstantial evidence. It’s speculation at best...
hehe
All of Afghanistan's major cities had been taken from the Taliban 2 months after bombing began. The Russians have been bombing for a month. We'll see if any concrete results materialize in the form of territory taken.
It's not speculation that various roadblocks were placed in the way of attempts to fully investigate the apartment bombings.
It is not speculation that various people who raised questions about what happened were killed, in some cases in ways that could only be orchestrated with assistance of the state.
It's not speculation that Putin gained enormously from the events surrounding the apartment bombings.
When you have a state that appears to involve a merger of the KGB and the mafia, where there is no rule of law and limited freedom of expression, and which regularly uses deception to increase its power and to carry out its expansionist plans, there is reason to be more suspicious of its leader.
Similar to Syria, Afghanistan had a military stalemate going until a large air power showed up to help out one side.
They've been doing it for a while, and know just how it's done. SU-25 Rook [warthogski!] NATO name Frogfoot. I understand from someone in the CAS biz that the Russians call it the *corkscrew.*
That explanation describes both the clinton criminal organization and the Obamas.
Wonder if they are not in cahoots to start world war and be there to save the day.
