It's not uncommon to hear about low voter turnout in some elections. But some lawmakers believe getting students involved at a young age and educating them on the issues will help those numbers.
( Youth Vote Amendment Act of 2015.)

Aufgeblasen Blutegel Bourgeoisie Burokraten.
The merits of meritocracy.
Heinlein was always one of my favorites, which is why (I suppose) I feel such a stranger in this strange land.
Isn’t this Unconstitutional since they’re voting in a Federal Election underage??
LOL, good one...
True, but they can be easily manipulated.
I’m with you regarding “skin in the game”...
25 is more like it...18-24 for currently serving or Honorably Discharged Veterans, and can prove it with an HD, DD214 or military ID...
You don’t get to vote at all if you are a not a natural born or naturalized citizen, are a convicted felon or receive any form of public assistance, including no net tax liability...
Non-property tax owning citizens should not get to vote in any election where a tax increase on real property is in at question...
They did this because of the high percentage of Registered GOP voters in D.C......
Ich bin in totalvereinbarung
Reminds me of the short story “The Day it All Happened, Baby!” and the subsequent movie WILD IN THE STREETS.

I think they could actually, the Constitution doesn’t set a federal voting age. 26th amendment guarantees over 18 can vote, that’s it.
DC is sh*t 90% dem so it doesn’t matter what they do. But this is an extremely dangerous idea for any state to adopt. 18 year olds are ignorant enough.
“The voting age needs to be *raised* to 30.
Mandate that the voter have a real job (NOT Government Service)
No one votes who receives welfare or income assistance
(Social Security exempted)
Mandatory Literacy Testing”
Ballots printed in English only.
I have adopted the habit of using that phrase (all as one word) in common conversation.
I’d like for it to catch on much as Marx did with his “lumpenproletariat.”
I probably should have said “Mandatory *English* Literacy Testing” - but I think most people got the idea.
When I was 16, I wanted Mick Jagger to be president.
I read what I wrote again and I must say...what was I thinking?
The State cannot give anyone rights of any kind.
I should have typed, "Better change the laws to allow them to drink legally too..."
I concur.
We’re living “Idiocracy”, we really are.
If you haven’t seen that flick yet, you really need to.
I agree. If a dem ever wins 270-268 because of damn DC, I’ll be pissed.
If they want representation in Congress, I’ll lend them mine.
