Kansas City No Riot, No Arrests After Royals Victory
TMZ ^ | 11/2/2015 | TMZ Staff

Posted on 11/03/2015 2:28:50 PM PST by JohnKinAK

There were no burned out cars in Kansas City this morning ... in fact, it's been a regular sleepy Monday with cops telling TMZ Sports the city was VERY well behaved after the World Series last night.

A rep for the KC Police Department tell us there were ZERO World Series-related arrests after the Royals won the crown ... a HUGE difference from the scene in San Francisco one year ago.

As we previously reported, SF was a war zone when the Giants won in 2014 -- with 40 total arrests, 9 police cars damaged, 3 officers injured and 2 people shot.

But Sgt. Darin Snapp tells us in K.C., "It was a great night."

"There were no fights, no damage, no arrests in relation to the celebration. Everyone had a good time. A successful night for the Royals and the community of Kansas City Missouri."

Congrats!!!

I think many of rioters are from out of the area for some of these events, and when they went to Kansas they couldn’t find Kansas City to start any trouble.

The San Francisco Giants fans that came back from the KC World Series games last year had nothing but great things to say about the KC fans, one guy said he wore his GIANTS jersey and never once had to buy a beer. Congratulations to the Royals on your World Series win.

Beautiful day here in Kansas City and the celebrations have been family friendly. No doubt the usual suspects in the media are very upset.

Meanwhile, sales of the card games Yatzee, Old Maid and War! are off the charts in Kansas City. As are sales of Buffalo Wings, Lite Beer and Pringles Potato Chips.

As a former citizen of KC for three years, I’m not surprised at all. They are some of the nicest people ever.

Missouri, not Kansas ;)

That said, it is even more amazing that fans stayed civil towards each other.

Congrats to the Royals on a GREAT WS victory. Late inning lethal comebacks left the Astros/Blue Jays/Mets completely SHAMBOLLIXED. The Royals dealt their post-season opponents a series of devastating counter-strikes for which there was no answer. The Royals greatest talent is their ability gut-check, REPEATEDLY! Good on ya boys!

You want schadenfreude? How's this? Next year at Opening Day at Kauffman? When the Royals raise that Championship banner over the left field wall and hand out Championship rings to the players? They're playing the Mets.

Would have been a different story if it was in St. Louis.
Glad to hear this!

When the Saints won the Super Bowl in 2010, this city was so happy that there was no crime reported in New Orleans for a few days. People of all colors were hugging each other in the streets, and it was positively euphoric. Too bad it didn’t last.

Gee, who-da-thunk that SanFran, whose government is an outlaw, law-breaking, illegal-alien-loving, criminal-coddling, conservative Christian hating, hard-left hell hole would have riots, thanks to their baseball team winning the world series...

Today, at the parade and rally, there were an estimated 750,000 people. Not bad, since the population of the KC Metro area is a bit over 2 million. But then, a tremendous number of businesses, and every local school district & college was closed today for the parade & rally.

Just a couple of arrests (I believe it was 3, according to the report I heard,) but the police were kept busy, reuniting lost children with parents.

I love living here.

Salvie has proven himself to be both a terrific team leader on and off the field, and incredibly nice guy, and he may be the happiest man in America, not just during the WS. When he's not wearing his intense competitor look, he's always got the biggest smile. He's a guy who LOVES the game he plays!
