Why Donald Trump Supporters Are Donald Trump Supporters

Has there been a candidate more polarizing in the 2016 election than Donald Trump?

Superfans think he’s a genius—a plutocrat who will negotiate America into economic success and mediate between a partisan Congress. Detractors think Trump is a racist buffoon who doesn’t have anything good to say, and yet won’t keep his mouth shut. For Republicans, Trump is a refreshing choice for voters who are sick of a GOP that can’t hold together a united front.

Heading into the third Republican presidential debate, Trump—for the first time in months—is not in the top spot in the polls. Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson took a national lead in a New York Times/CBS news poll published yesterday. Twenty-six percent of Republican primary voters are backing Carson, versus 22 percent for Trump. It’s a narrow lead, but one that Trump promptly questioned. After all, the billionaire has remarked, “If I fell behind badly [in the polls], I would certainly get out. I’m in this for the long haul.”

What gets me is the lack of any explanation for the grossly annoying malfunction in the body of posted texts that's been going on for probably a week.

I've looked for an explanation or a thread from management and/or the moderators as to what's going on, and what's being done about it...but I have't seen anything.

I don't care how long a fix takes, I don't ask for lengthy technical explanations (I probably wouldn't understand them, anyhow). I would just like a word or two what the situation is....and if the situation can't be remedied at the moment, that's okay, too.

But it's getting to the point that any message of progress (or comfort) from the PTB would be appreciated by us users....and it's rather long overdue.

I hear those who think they understand Conservative, say that our anger is because the GOP hasn’t gotten anything done.

That is true... but it goes further than that. I don’t want more government to “do things for us”... I want government to leave me alone... stop taking from those that work and giving to those who are not working.

I am angry at the Republican party.. at the Washington cartel... who has taken over and sides with the democrats... who won’t do a thing that is right and good for the country.. for the people... who have turned into an elite party that won’t hear the people any more... who think they know what is best FOR THEM..

They funded obamacare. they funded everything obama wants. They vote with the dems. They have a total bizarre attitude on how to deal with the left (cross the aisle, give them what they want, fulfill lobbyists demands, bring in all the illegals and put them on welfare, give them free health care)... totally wrong and totally bizarre. The GOP are so afraid of obama and the media that they work with them instead of the people.

The GOP has gone so wrong.. did so many things that are inexcusable... I get angrier by the day.. and it’s been 7+ years. Fairness has gone out the window. They won’t hear us any more..

And that’s why I am angry... and that’s why I want Trump... he’s the only one I think will DO ... he’s the only one who has the stamina and determination to DO... and he’s the only who actually sees what we see and wants to fix it ... I want it fixed more than I want someone in there who looks good... and thinks the status quo is ok.. since we’ve put up with it and quit hollering... it can go on and on and on.. NO.. FIX IT! FIX IT ALL!

Bite me.

Why? Because you are too damned lazy to preview and then clean up your posts?

You're a snarky, lazy, bitter, nasty jack's run .

When Charles DeGaulle was President of France it used to just tick me off that every time any new plan was developed by NATO his first question was “what’s in it for France?” If France didn’t get some great deal out of it he wouldn’t go along. They always caved in to him. Now I understand.

Trump want’s to know what’s in it for America? I want to know that too.

The sTrumpettes are a cult of personality, much like the Obozo supporters.

If you are anti-Trump, you are anti-America, which doesn't surprise me...

When I’m posting with contractions, they’ll look OK when I’m typing and previewing them. Let’s see what they’re looking like when they actually get posted. “Might as well check double quotes too”

The problem seems to have to do with copy-and-pasting.

You’re delusional.

Because I like the intelligent, consistently conservative candidate (Cruz) as opposed to the flip flop polarizing candidate that has been both sides of every issue. He is Romney with Billions instead of millions.

Not True.....I’m going to vote for him if he gets the nomination.

What is it you like about him, his support for the single payer system, his weak stance on the 2nd amendment, his idea of a 14% confiscatory tax on savings accounts?

If you are anti-Trump, you are anti-America, which doesn't surprise me...

And you are a complete moron on any thread. If you are for Trumpy, you support a single payer health plan, are weak on the 2nd amendment, and support a 14% confiscatory tax on savings. Now how about supporting a consistent conservative candidate, his name is Ted Cruz.

Only to a complete moron. What conservative issue has Cruz flip flopped on?

Maybe you like the way he was a Democrat before he was a Republican, before he was a Democrat, before he was a Republican? Which party do you think he will be on inauguration day God forbid he should actually win?

All you have are untrue talking points, and a raging case of TDS. Get some help, as the numbers really don’t support your guy, and you are only part of the problem! Trump supports your candidate in a much more helpful way than you ever could.
