Date and locations for the shoot are now set.

I have reserved the entire resort at Cherokee Village Resort, in Whitney, for October 6 ~ 9, 2015. When calling to make a reservation, mention that you are with the TexasCowboy group. The owners have given us until February 15th to make reservations, after that date they will open rooms/cottages to the public. You will have to make a deposit equal to a one night stay.

The shoot will be held at Hicksville Gun Range, in Gatesville, starting at 10:00 a.m. on the 8th. Eaker, humblegunner & I checked out the range recently, and chatted with the owners. They said there would be no problem with setting up lunch on the property. As a bonus, the range has a deaf dog that likes to catch rocks and hang out on the firing line.

Some reminders:

The address for Cherokee Village is 220 Deep Canyon Dr, Whitney, TX 76692; for Hicksville Range is 225 Dusty Lane, Gatesville, TX 76528.

Bring plenty of water (or soda) to the range.

The meeting place at Cherokee Village will be the Pavilion. Bring along your favorite adult beverage ~ as is tradition, NYTexan will be making margaritas.

Friday & Saturday night dinners will be pot luck style.
