I suppose I can only speak for myself, but I was dissatisfied with the GOP leadership before Cruz ran for office. He tapped into that energy in me, but he didn’t create it. I voted for GPBush and Cornyn simply because there were no other viable candidates running. But I voted for Cruz three times (not what you think: primary, runoff, and general)
The only thing I can think about is this. What does the billionaire want in return?
Exactly!! There is no free lunch. those benefactors will be back to exact their favors.
Why is it that all of the Trump supporters assume that all billionaires that donate to candidates have ulterior motives, but their billionaire Trump (who has openly boasted of buying politicians) has pure motives? Couldn't Trump be spending his money on his campaign in anticipation of getting a big return some day? Or couldn't the other billionaires be donating because they truly want to see a conservative win and return the country to a constitutional republic?
And by the way, even if the donors have an expectation of getting something in return, exactly what in Cruz's record makes you think they would be successful?

Cruz is not a man who "reacts"...he thinks and plans ...when you watch where he's been...what he's doing as he also lays plans in Washington...while also working as a Senator doing his job....it's a remarkable and amazing thing to watch!

Oh that's easy....he wants Cruz to win!!!!... So do I!!!...and never forget God owns all the cattle on a thousand hills...he'll use them according to his plan as he brings Cruz front and center in His own good time.....and Biblical History tells us that is often right up to the last moment!!!
Great analysis, Cruz is building a ground game and has money in the bank. When the other candidates fade he’ll pick up the pieces and run to the end zone!
