This should be on this thread too.

George W. Bush's apology for 9/11.

"You know Bill Clinton made a lot of mistakes on Bin Laden, and I think he should apologize too. But I was at the wheel. It happened on my watch. I was warned. I didn't listen. And I am sorry. I really am. I could have done more to prevent these tragedies"

Then I am extremely embarrassed. I do know that Bush made the comment about it happening on his watch and he was sorry for it.

So I have been punked and will admit it for that article. For that, I am truly very, very sorry.

OK... just have to settle for this apology to the nation from the former Counter-Terrorism Chief about Bush’s mistakes:

- - - - -

” The former counterterrorism chief in the Bush and Clinton White Houses apologized Wednesday to the families of the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, saying, “Your government failed you.” But he placed the bulk of the blame on President Bush, accusing his administration of not making terrorism “an urgent issue.” “

and

“It was possible to make a very persuasive case that this was a major threat and this was an urgent problem,” Clarke said. But the Bush team “didn’t either believe me that there was an urgent problem or was unprepared to act as though there were an urgent problem.”

‘Probably I should get another job’

“I thought, if the administration doesn’t believe its national coordinator for counterterrorism when he says there’s an urgent problem and if it’s unprepared to act as though there’s an urgent problem, then probably I should get another job.” ...Clarke has alleged that Bush’s national security adviser, Condoleezza Rice, appeared not to even have heard of al-Qaida, ...

That’s a satirical site. The interview isn’t real.

He was only 8 months in, but afterward he totally disrupted the Middle East and wanted amnesty for all on immigration. Considering that was AFTER 9/11 there was lots Bush became responsible for IMO.

Not a good President but I do believe he tried to be honorable.

Very bad since al-Qaida and Bin Laden bombed 2 US embassies killing over 200 people.

Only people responsible for 9/11 attacks were/are the perps themselves.

Exactly right. Such a simple truth escapes most people.

FLASHBACK: Jeb Bush Admitted ‘Leaky’ Immigration Led to 9/11
Breitbart ^ | 18 Oct 2015 | Julia Hahn

However, a review Jeb Bush’s 2013 book Immigration Wars reveals that Jeb Bush himself agreed with Trump’s argument and admitted that our “leaky” immigration policy was responsible for the attack.

Bush wrote:

In addition to the Mexican drug cartels, the fact that several of the 9/11 terrorists entered the country lawfully under a leaky immigration has heightened national security concerns—so much so that immigration enforcement has been placed under the Department of Homeland Security.

Indeed, all of the the nineteen September 11th hijackers were voluntarily imported into the country on visas issued to them by our federal government. Almost all of the visas were issued in the predominantly Muslim country of Saudi Arabia. Four of the September 11th hijackers—Zacarias Moussaoui, Satam al Suqami, Nawaf al Hamzi, and Hani Hanjour—were visa overstays.
