Ben Carson is giving Donald Trump a run for his money, according to the latest Fox News national poll.
Support for Carson in the race for the Republican nomination has nearly doubled in the last two months, he is seen by voters as being more ethical than others, and he has the largest number of GOP primary voters who say they would definitely vote for him.
That makes him well-positioned to overtake Trump.

In addition, the poll tested an array of general election match-ups and Carson is the only Republican to get 50 percent support. In a Carson vs. Hillary Clinton contest, he has the advantage by a 50-39 percent margin.
Running down the GOP race: Trump remains in the top spot with 24 percent, closely followed by Carson at 23 percent. Ted Cruz is third with 10 percent. Those are the only three who receive double-digit backing from Republican primary voters.
Next, it’s Marco Rubio (9 percent), Jeb Bush (8 percent), Carly Fiorina and Mike Huckabee (5 percent each), and Rand Paul (3 percent). The remaining candidates garner one percent or less.
Carson has climbed 11 points since mid-August when he registered at 12 percent, while support for Trump has mostly held steady.
Support for fellow outsider Fiorina is only about half what it was after the September debate, in which she was widely hailed the winner.
Voters are also asked to name their second-choice candidate. When first and second-choice preferences are considered together, Carson (41 percent) actually has the edge over Trump (37 percent).

What a joke this is. It is the “Wilder effect”. This doctor has no chance of running a business— much less a COUNTRY. Don’t fall for this propaganda.

Two other polls showed Trump far ahead, both out today. I think Fox is pushing their goal. And Trump’s going to host SNL Nov 7th, will probably go to 75%!
Can anyone honestly believe Carson could go “eyeball to eyeball” with Vlad Putin and win?
A lot of touchy feely mainline denomination do gooder types who don’t know their butts from a cork pistol about politics, who voted for Obunga strictly to prove they weren’t racists, are the ones puffing Carson’s numbers. I know this because I have several dippy relatives who fit the above description.
Almost as bad as nominating a third-rate actor, right?
Apparently he’s spending the money on the right consultants.

Well, I’m happy about those other polls, but to be honest, I don’t care about the polls.
Trump has said things necessary to earn my vote where others have not.

Folks had better wake up to Carson’s abominable stance on illegal immigration. He has no intention of doing what is necessary to save our country from illegals. He’s a total disaster.
This is the problem with Carson:
“Is it moral for us, for example, to take advantage of cheap labor from illegal immigrants while denying them citizenship? I’m sure you can tell from the way I phrased the question that I believe we have taken the moral low road on this issue. Some segments of our economy would virtually collapse without these undocumented workers—we all know that—yet we continue to harass and deport many individuals who are simply seeking a better life for themselves and their families.”

In his defense, he’s the only Repub candidate that has said that the 2A is for defense of the people against tyranny of the govt. Not a Carson supporter, but have to call ‘em like I see ‘em.
Carson might just be the best man running for POTUS. It is easy to see why people like him. Brilliant, soft-spoken, handsome, calm demeanor. He really has a ton going for him. The problem is, he is like Trump in terms of of political wishy-washyness.
