Rabbi Sholom Berger, the Mishkolitz Rebbe
An important Hassidic rabbinical leader recently offered a surprising Biblical interpretation of the War of Gog and Magog.
At the festive meal that concluded the holiday of Simchat Torah earlier this week, Rabbi Sholom Berger, also know as the Mishkolitz Rebbe, spoke about the imminent arrival of the Messiah and the War of Gog and Magog. He revealed a surprising interpretation that challenges the usual understanding of where the war will take place, offering reassuring advice as to what we need to do in these darkened times.
In his talk, reported by the Hebrew language website Sod 1820, the Mishkolitz Rebbe explained that, contrary to the Biblical sources which describe the War of Gog and Magog as taking place in Israel, the war has already begun and is taking place in Syria.
“Whoever even tries to seek the truth about what is going on around us understands that God is bringing us towards the revelation of the Kingdom of the Messiah and towards Redemption, and the redeeming of our souls,” he said. “This winter, there will continue to be upheavals in the world and everything will be for the good of Israel!”
The Mishkolitz Rebbe said that the war in Syria is a form of God’s mercy on the land of Israel and the nation. “My heart tells me that God has mercy on Israel. Despite what the prophets prophesized, that the War of Gog and Magog needs to be inside Jerusalem, God is sweetening the judgment and is making this war happen in Syria,” he stated.
“The proof of this, as it is brought by the sages of blessed memory (Sifri Numbers Chapter 1), ‘In the future, the gates of Jerusalem will reach Damascus.’ In that case, instead of the war being inside Jerusalem, and the people of Israel suffering as a result, God has extended Jerusalem to include Damascus in order that the enormous war will be there, like we are seeing now.” the Mishkolitz Rebbe explained.
“Russia has entered into Syria with great strength and even China has announced that they will be doing so also. This will apparently lead to the Third World War with the United States and its allies and to horrifying spilling of blood until they will all be destroyed.”
The rabbi called on Jews around the world to unite and take heed of God’s commandments. “There remains for us to be united among ourselves and to be wary of internal disputes and to be careful not to speak slander about each other because the Messiah is already here and he hears everything.”
“It is also important for us to learn Torah with great enthusiasm, as it is written by the Or HaChayim in the portion of Titsaveh, ‘Because Moses does not desire redemption with those who neglect Torah study’”.
“And soon we will merit seeing miracles and wonders this year when the Messiah is revealed through righteousness and loving-kindness. Amen!”
The Mishkolitz Rebbe has made headlines before with his revelations. At the end of 2011, he announced that no military strike on Iran was necessary since then Iranian president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who was threatening Israel with nuclear destruction, would soon fall from power. The Rebbe compared Ahmadinejad to the Biblical villain of Haman, whose fall from power was swift and dramatic, as record in the book of Esther.

Doesn't sound so good for the United States. However, we are ripe for God's judgment.
Our "Sequestered" and leadership decapitated military is a shadow of what it was 7 years ago, while Russia and China have been increasing their might exponentially during the same time frame.
We have descended into immoral madness, and have betrayed Israel.

One thing is certain: if there is a war in the next few months, it is "come as you are." This is not WW II where we can produce the P-51 Mustang from drawing on a napkin to flying prototype in 102 days.
Besides the smallest Navy since WW I, a decimated Marine Corps, the Army only having a handful of Brigades combat ready, the Air Force smaller with an older fleet that at any time in history, the morale of the military is lower than it was post-Vietnam.
Morale is a massive factor in any fighting unit or army. Lord Nelson's fleet was outnumbered, but his men loved him, and he gave them better training. The British, with leadership, superior tactics, and fighting spirit destroyed the French and British fleets at Trafalgar 210 years ago this month.
The American military has been feminized, degraded, hamstrung, and smeared as a bunch of sexual harassers - all built on phony data and lies.
Critics try and compare military spending in Dollars between Russia, China, and the US. There are several fallacies to this argument.
One, we don't really know what Russia and China actually spend, we can only guess. Only the US is transparent with its actual Defense Spending.
Secondly, we compare apples to oranges. If a US factory produces a pair of boots that cost $150, a great deal of that cost was our way of doing business. Safety rules, union wages, legal costs, minority owned contracting privilege/profit by law, and on and on.
Russia and China don't play by those rules. They can produce the same or better pair of boots for $25 dollars.
On the battlefield, a bullet kills or maims the same, it does not discriminate about which costs more to produce.

Chinese soldiers in Hong Kong make so little money per month they can’t afford to leave the base.
How many soldiers could the US field if it paid them $90.00 a month?
I would love to see that as well. I think our nation could be saved if we did collectively pray in according to 2 Chronicles 7:14.
But I think those who pray that are a very, very, very small minority. Perhaps in the single percentages.
I know God will protect Israel. The United States has no such Biblical clause.
I can only hope and pray that me and my family are sustained through the coming storm, because I believe it is coming (financial, war, disaster).

Isn’t Turkey one of the countries that comes with Gog to attack Israel? If Russia and Turkey are fighting each other, I don’t see this as exactly Ezekiel 38. . . yet.

If Jesus said dont be alarmed, I wont be. I have suffered quite a bit physically and mentally, as I think most of us have at one time or another.
This life was meant to end one way or another sooner or later, so whether it be on a peaceful death bed or from an all out war, it WILL come.
THAT’S the thing to be prepared for. So God at least gives me a shot at entering the Kingdom.
Come, Lord Jesus! Have mercy on your children. Protect Israel in the last days!
