I’m sure it was not Islamic terrorism, since that doesn’t exist. I just hope this news doesn’t provoke an undeserved anti-Muslim backlash.

Officers responded and found the man, who had been stabbed multiple times in his upper body, in critical condition, Sacramento Police Officer Traci Trapani said. The man was leaving one of the businesses and was walking east when he had an argument with an “unknown suspect,” Trapani said.
The assailant pulled out a knife and stabbed the man multiple times.
The man was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive, she said. Detectives are “actively investigating,” but police have not released any further information about the suspect.
“There’s no motive,” Trapani said. “It appears to be a random deal.”
