Putin want to be a czar, whose empire needs an unifying state religion. He may be a cynical KGB man in his heart and have no trouble crushing Christians(e.g., Ukrainians and Georgians,) if they are in his way. That does not mean that he won't make a big step to position himself as a protector of Christian faith.

From all I have read on FR and elsewhere, it is only the Russian Orthodox Church who has provided any support for Syrian Christians as they were being slaughtered, kidnapped and enslaved by the same rebels that the US is training and equipping to fight Assad. The Anglican Church and Vatican provided support for Iraqi Christians, the Anglican Church supported the Egyptian Christians. Many US churches support the Palestinian Christians but I can’t find where a US church has been active anywhere else. If I am wrong on this please let me know.

The head of External Church Relations, Metropolitan Illarion, said that every five minutes one Christian was dying for his or her faith in some part of the world, specifying that he was talking about such countries as Iraq, Egypt, Pakistan and India. The cleric asked Putin to make the protection of Christians one of the foreign policy directions in future.

Putin and the Russians are doing a Mexican hat dance around Obama’s massive ears. As much as I still detest Russia and Putin, they are doing some good to protect Christians in the Middle East, namely Syria. He is fully aware that a large segment of Americans detest BO and see this as an opportunity to seize turf due to the massive eared loser we have in the White House.

I wonder, in the course of his life, how many prayers were lifted by Alexander Solzhenitsyn alone?

I've said it before but, obama is a stupid human being. Stupid as in mentally deficient. He only made it to potus because jorge busho was a horrible potus and, second, obama's liberal constituents are without exception, similarly stupid. This is what happens when you have a democracy, viz. stupid people get to vote.

That said, this administration's support of the enemies of mankind are the result of the filthy, backward raghead the potus has put in charge of policy decisions.

We all rejoice when this idiot goes off on another golf trip because it means he's out of the office. The fact is, in or out, it's irrelevant. Because the ones making the decisions are the animals he's put in charge.

Putin’s mother was a Cristian - had him baptized secretly - and raised him to know the Christian faith. (The story of his cross that his mother gave him on a trip to Jerusalem when he was young is particularly interesting. this is a very interesting video. (O’Reilly says over and over “Once KGB Agent, always a KGB agent. Hmmm - well, he was a Christian long before he was a KGB agent. But in Communist Russia, if you expected to have a job - you were a party member, as was his father. Maybe he was ‘Secret Christian” before Glasnost - and after Communism fell, he was in a position to help reestablish the church.) I don’t know. But then, neither do any of us.)
