Donald Trump may or may not have already peaked in the Republican presidential contest, but no other candidate gets close to him in yet another national poll of GOP candidates released on Tuesday.

The Public Policy Polling survey has Trump up with 27 percent support. Ben Carson is in second place with 17 percent, and Marco Rubio is next with 13 percent. These are all numbers that were roughly the same as when PPP conducted their last survey back in early September.

When we start learning some hard details about the TPP agreement and that becomes a political issue, Trump could see another five to ten point surge if he gets on it and criticizes it with some good examples of how it will harm the US economy and jobs.

from article:

“Eight-two percent of primary voters support background checks on all gun purchases, to only 13 percent opposed.”

As my complaint has always been, why don’t the ones who have a microphone, or a column, inform the American people that we already have background checks.

It the most mystifying thing to me. For example, if the president of NRA was debating about guns, and that issue came up, the odds are that he would segue into a minor argument and never get around to saying that we do in fact have background checks on all gun purchases.

Trump is by far the best presidential GOP campaigner since Reagan. He always gets out in front of everything. Never backs down.

“Not for private sales.”

Oh really? So you can probably have a private sale of a gun that’s never been registered (that would be mostly long guns and shotguns), but once a gun has been registered ( that would be nearly all fairly new handguns), transferring it outside the required process in most states is a felony.

These polls will not be mentioned on the Megan Kelly show. At least not Trump or Cruz.

Since you are from California, I think you may be confusing California firearms laws; which are very restrictive w/regard to all firearms, with the overall condition of the various other state firearms laws.

For instance, in the Commonwealth of Virginia, the only firearms required to be registered are those covered under the National Firearms Act or similar Federal legislation (i.e.: fully automatic weapons, short barreled rifles and shotguns, etc.) In general, rifles, shotguns, and pistols/revolvers are not required to be registered in Virginia. (There was a requirement to register a pistol/revolver licensed for concealed carry under the now defunct “show cause” statute that was in effect prior to the current “shall issue” statute.)
