Supreme Court Justices Get More Liberal As They Get Older

The Supreme Court justices are back from vacation. They’ve picked up their robes from the cleaners — Alito’s had a pesky mustard stain — and are reassembling Monday to hear the first of the new term’s arguments. Another term means a fresh set of cases and issues; the court will grapple with affirmative action, the death penalty, labor unions and redistricting. And, because of the incessant drumbeat of time, it also means that each justice is a year older. That might just change how they vote.

There’s an old saw, often mistakenly attributed to Winston Churchill, that goes something like this: “If you’re not a liberal when you’re 25, you have no heart. If you’re not a conservative when you’re 35, you have no brain.” A person should start left and drift right, and not the other way around, the adage suggests.1

Living in DC surrounded by nuts and going to homosexual cocktail parties wears off on them.

Yes, this one is easy. Most people become more conservative over time as they deal with reality, while the Washington Elite become more liberal as they hide out in the the Beltway Bubble.

This is why we should have term limits on them. It is one glaring error the FF’s made. Trump is right, we need to have periodic “affirmation elections.” Here in California we have them and we were able to remove our Chief Justice many years ago by that process. And wouldn’t you know, she was a Jerry Brown appointment. He has done inestimable damage to this once first in the nation state, along with his worthless turd of a father who preceded him. We’ve suffered for years because ole Pat Brown didn’t use a condom.

How could butch dyke Elena Kagan appointed by the flamer 0bumba get any more liberal? As a matter of fact, I think Kagan has hypnosis and parapsychology skills she uses on other Justices like CJ Roberts. Kagan is an operative for King 0bumba and reports EVERYTHING discussed to him, although I’m sure his NSA reads every single Justice email, phone conversation, Internet activity, etc. for purposes of BLACKMAIL.

As a side note to this thread, please consider the following.

Patriots please note that the POTUS has no constitutional authority to remove activist, Constitution-ignoring justices. That job belongs to Congress.

The problem is that, thanks to the ill-conceived 17th Amendment, even after three election cycles, enough election cycles to have replaced every member of the Senate, low-information patriots have failed to elected the 2/3 Senate supermajority that is required to remove House-impeached justices from the bench.

So in addition to electing a conservative, non-RINO president to the Oval Office in the 2016 elections, patriots also need need to elect a non-RINO conservative majority to the House, while also electing a 2/3 non-RINO conservative supermajority to the Senate.

If patriots can do this then the new Congress will be able to start removing activist justices from the bench.

The 17th Amendment needs to disappear, and corrupt senators who confirm activist justices and then refuse to remove them from the bench when they ignore the Constitution along with it.

Thurgood Marshall was a drooling mess while still on the court. Nuttier than A Snickers Bar.

It's hard to imagine, but, sadly, I think we are going to see the answer to this question over the next 2-3 decades.

I have no hope of this happening in my lifetime. I think the best we can do is elect a president who will appoint (and fight for) conservative justices and let God impeach a few of the current ones.

And yet even Kagan has voted against Obama at least 20 times.
From Red State:
Twenty 9-0 Supreme Court Rulings Against – Obama Prepares Even More Power Grabs
Unanimous Supreme Court rulings are certainly noteworthy. When a case lines up every single Justice – appointed by Democrats and Republicans both – the decision must be unbelievably clear cut.

Nine-to-nothings don’t happen very often. The ever-overreaching Barack Obama Administration, however, is in historic fashion racking them up. And they ain’t in its favor.

So there is bipartisanship in Washington – against this Administration.

When even the two Justices you just appointed – Sonya Sotomayor and Elena Kagan – are voting against you, just how far from the Constitutional path have you strayed?

Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz is no stranger to cases before the Court – though his record is more than a little better than the Administration’s. And he has compiled the list of the unanimous-es against Administration over-action.
