David Jacques, the publisher of the Roseburg Beacon in Roseburg, Oregon, where a maniac killed nine Umpqua College students and teachers last Thursday, issued a bombshell statement about Obama’s upcoming visit to the devastated community.
“I think the president will not be welcomed into the community and that is not just my opinion,” Jacques told FOX’s Bill O’Reilly.
Jacques and other community leaders just don’t want Obama coming to their town pushing his gun confiscation agenda.
“Well I think the president will not be welcomed into the community. And that is not just my opinion. We talked to dozens upon dozens of citizens, some family members of the victims, our elected officials. And you may have a copy, if you don’t I’d be glad to read from it on the air that our Douglas County commissioners along with our Douglas County sheriff, who is very popular, and our chief of police all came to consensus language about him not being welcome here to grandstand for political purposes.”
He says that many people in the community were extremely offended when Obama held a press conference pushing for more gun control hours after the shooting, before residents had even finished “counting the bodies on the campus.”
He added, “So now he [Obama] wants to come to our community and stand on the corpses of our loved ones to make some kind of a political point, and it isn’t going to be well-received.”
Conservative Tribune adds:
Nor will he likely be well received by Bonnie Schaan, the mother of victim Cheyenne Fitzgerald, who was shot in the back during the incident but survived.
“America, we need to pack guns — if this is what it’s coming to — to have to protect ourselves,” she said during an interview with NBC.
It sounds like nobody in Roseburg wants President Obama to show up there, because like the rest of us, they recognize that Obama is only interested in scoring political points.
When it comes to the actual victims and their families, well… they’re just collateral damage to him.
Interesting how mass shootings and the SWAT assault at Twin Peaks are on the rise just as 0dunga nears the end of his term.. Almost as if these are OPS orchestrated by the gubmint to build support for gun confiscation, huh.. NOT MUCH TIME LEFT, ODINGO!
I wonder if this is near the hometown of those Christian bakers the government is persecuting? Looks as if there’s more good people in Oregon than I would have expected.
Obama chose the wrong town to try to impose his gun grabbing ideology, it wont work and he knows it. He should take his a@@ to Chicago, where blacks kill blacks every single day..oops almost forgot, those are criminal blacks doing the killing so its A OK in Obama’s book, moving on

Who would you trust more? Armed citizens looking out for their best interest, or Obama as President, who has armed security.

Gun Free Zones Contravene the Right to Life
The bombastic media reporting of and editorializing about school shootings such as Sandy Hook, Virginia Tech, Columbine, and now UCC, with calls for action deflects attention from important realities. Harvard Law School found that worldwide murders and suicides are unrelated and often inversely related to firearms possession, and found the U.S.A. had fewer deaths and more firearms than most countries. The National Science Foundation and the Center for Disease Control found, after reviewing 450 sources and doing their own research, that no positive benefit accrued from laws concerning bans, restrictions, waiting periods, registration, or licensing.
However, a most important reality is that imbecilic gun free zones exist in opposition to the self-evident right to life. A condition precedent for any discussion must be recognition that the inherent natural right of self-defense occupies a position superior to any opposing laws or rules.
For the United States protecting Constitutional guarantees regarding firearms in common usage should be paramount. Those debating this issue would then retain a proper tension between personal freedom and the demonstrated condition of humans. A focus on personal freedom would likely lead to a focus on predators and criminals, and not intensify the failed strategies mentioned above.

If 0bama goes to Roseburg, he’ll never live it down.

If he goes, he wil probably have an adoring audience bused in and that is what the state run media reports. There need to be highly visible demonstrators at the airport and anywhere where the Obama go home demonstrators can have an effect.
Oregon is an Open Carry state. Folks could line the roads packing heat.
You’re NOT kidding. He probably DID choose the town this shooting would happen in, like a totally isolated and UNUSED school in NEWtown America or a black church with few witnesses the media seems UNinterested in, or a live on-air shooting where the Glock failed to discharge a shell casing and the SHOT AT reporter managed to run run and run some more without hitting the deck.

That will be difficult. Portland is 200 miles from Roseburg!

Odd that a mass shooting of Christians would occur in a conservative town. How many conservative towns ARE THERE in Oregon, anyway? Maybe just Roseburg? What more perfect event brought to you by the insurgent U.S. government.
