“Take this nuclear power plant to Cuba!”
I can’t get through the fire wall to read the article, but the headline contradicts my experience with US nuclear plants. Cyber security is taken very seriously.
The PLCs in a nuke plant are probably not connected to the outside world.
It is more important to control WHO has access to the PLCs and the plant safety system control, than worry about some bad boy on a couch in Serbia.
Therefore profiling is paramount. Citizenship, nation of birth, where lived in the past, etc. must be used to decide who gets into the control room or the instrument shop.
These people are reading too many novels and watching too much TV (e.g., “War Games”). These are physically separated systems, no wired or wireless connection to critical systems. The only way you’re going to get into those systems is with telepathy. Any “Scanners” out there? Didn’t think so.
Muzzies or sympathizers with thumb drives in as many plants at once.........
