McCarthy deliberately sabotaging the committee? Sounded like it to me, despite his protests to the contrary, that he didn’t mean what he said. No Speakership on this alone ... and there are PLENTY of other reasons he shouldn’t be Speaker.

How stupid of McCarthy to throw that hideous liar a life line. He is not smart enough to be Speaker. He and his sweetly should leave their seats to more capable people and go raise llamas in CA.
Why is no one calling McCarthy and Ellmers out about their supposed affair? If just one outlet would question them...based on “unnamed sources” - like they use, to go after conservatives - he’d/they’d have to at least address, or acknowledge, in some way.

That remark by McCarthy, was intentional. Not accidental. And he probably was instructed to make it by the RNC.
I don’t know about that but they have certainly allowed the Democrats to frame his remark.
At that level, very, very little to nothing happens by accident. And you can rest assured, that the RNC would prefer a Democrat to be in office than Ted Cruz or Donald Trump.
