OBAMA NOT WELCOME IN ROSEBURG, SAYS LOCAL NEWSPAPER PUBLISHER

David Jaques, the publisher of the conservative newspaper the Roseburg Beacon, says he believes that President Obama would not be welcome to the town after making remarks politicizing the shooting that left nine dead and nine injured at Umpqua Community College on October 1. Jaques told Breitbart News that he believes officials of Douglas County would also not welcome the President using the tragedy to score political points for a gun control agenda.

Any visit by President would be “a campaign stop for agenda to take away American citizen’s right to own firearms” said Jaques in an exclusive interview.

Bravo to the town. And prayers for them in this tragedy.

More gun laws would not have prevented this. Maybe some kind of law where two close family members or friends, interviewed deeply and separately like persons of interest are, can report on someone’s insanity and get a 14 day institutional hold for people who might be dangerous. It would take a good two weeks of observation to even begin to pick out these guys. 72 hours is way too short. Something like this is desperately needed. The requirements must be STRINGENT to keep people from putting away sane innocent people, but this is so necessary in society right now.

Half of everyone over 85 has Alzheimer’s. A lot of people in their 70s have it. People with Alzheimer’s are not sane. They can harm their caregiving family members. I know a woman who was trapped with her abusive (he didn’t know he was) Alzheimers spouse who was hitting her and trying to kill her. Yet he fooled the police every time. She had him put in the hospital for a short stay to be checked out and he PASSED their tests. She is now at a relative’s because she was too afraid for her safety, waiting for him, alone and unable to care for himself, to mess up enough to get the help and supervision he needs. THIS SCENARIO WILL BE HAPPENING EVEN MORE THAN SCHOOL SHOOTERS.

We need to protect the innocent. We need a way to help the mentally incompetent be lovingly cared for and protect their families. Even among the young school shooters, often a family member is among the victims.

Actually, I think we’re on the same page. I was born in San Francisco in 1940, and I’ve watched as East Coast Liberals arrived ( along with a million or more queers) and settled in to destroy this once great state. Then, after they fouled our nest they moved North (and some went back East to Colorado) to do the same things that they did here. Right now, I have no answers except that I believe that the end to this Liberalism will come when the money runs out. We’re seeing cities go bankrupt here. Mostly do to PE expenses ( Cops and FF’s primarily). The whole West Coast is infected with Mexicans ( I read somewhere recently where Washington apple farmers can’t get enough Mexican labor to pick their crop). You might want to check out where some of your state’s “leaders” were born. I will bet you that any number started out life in Massoftwoshitts and other NE states. In our case, Nazi Pelosey came from Baltimore, MD where her crooked RAT father was mayor. He was going to run for governor but got indicted for some malfeasance in office. Our legislature is run by Mexicans from the LA Area ( they’ve even managed to squeeze out very nearly all the Blacks). The truth is that the major cities now have all the political power and they are all RAT infested. California, Oregon and Washington probably have more land occupied by good folks, but it doesn’t matter with one man, one vote!

You are pretty much correct. I really doubt that the kids who enjoyed the laid-back lifestyle of the 50s and 60s appreciate what the New Yawkers and their ilk brought west when they invaded. Washington had some of the better gun laws until last year when, thanks to Nanny Bloomberg and his millions, new and onerous background checks were voted in. The 59% voter approval is misleading. Bloomberg’s organization outspent their opposition 33 to 1. You can buy the votes of a lot of low info voters with that kind of dough. That, plus the fact that we’ve imported so damned many “progressives”, pretty much rammed the measure down out throats.

If you can get the votes in the three most populated (read: liberal) counties, the rest of us are effectively disenfranchised.

Oh, and Seattle has caught up with, and maybe even passed, SF when it
comes to special rights and privileges for the perverts. It’s pretty disgusting.

This is the undoing of our country, it’s the same in every state in the union to one degree or another. Thanks to the SCOTUS ruling that states can’t emulate the federal government and have State Senates that are modeled after the US Senate!
We need term limits on the SCOTUS, because we see time and again, when these people realize that no one can do anything to them, they go off the reservation (even the one’s that you didn’t think would, do).
The other thing that needs to be done is not to continue to allow legislative districts to be crafted based on total population as is the case today. With all the illegals in the cities being “counted” they expand the power of the areas that are already RAT $hitholes.
The RATs and RINOs have had their foot on the scales of justice for far too long, Go Donald Trump!
