Trump: I support Putin 'bombing the hell' out of ISIS
Washington Examiner ^ | 10/4/15 | Al Weaver

Posted on 10/04/2015 5:54:44 PM PDT by markomalley

Donald Trump does not trust Russian President Vladimir Putin, but he is supportive of one thing Putin is doing on the world stage.

During an interview with "Meet The Press" Sunday, Trump told moderator Chuck Todd that he supports Putin going out and "bombing the hell" out of the Islamic State in Syria, despite that they are doing so to support Syrian President Bashir al-Assad.

"I like that Putin is bombing the hell out of ISIS, and it's going to be ISIS. I'll tell you why — Putin has to get rid of ISIS because Putin doesn't want ISIS coming into Russia," said Trump, who leads the Washington Examiner's latest power rankings.

However, Trump made it clear that he does not trust the Russian president when pressed by the host.

"I don't trust him," Trump said. "I don't trust him at all — other than we both got very good ratings the other night on '60 Minutes' 'cause it was with me and Putin. Can you believe this? So I don't know. Did I get the ratings or did he?"

"It's not a question of trust," Trump said. "We've spent now — we've spent $2 trillion in Iraq, probably $1 trillion in Afghanistan. We're in there — we're destroying our country. We owe $19 trillion, we're bogged down. Russia was bogged down in Afghanistan, meaning the Soviet Union. It broke up the Soviet Union. They're going to get bogged down, you watch."

"I would sit back and lets see what's going on," Trump said. "I'm not justifying Putin, but you watch — he'll get bogged down there. He'll be there, he'll spend a fortune, he'll be begging to get out."

In order to reach ‘idiots’ with the message, one sometimes must use the ‘rhetoric’ they understand.

Russia is actually bombing key Isis locations while our military was stopped by the traitors in the WH. Barry, VJ, and Samantha Powers hate Israel way more than Isis.
Barry has gutted our military and put in Left wing props.
We have not been bombing Isis . We have been letting Isis win quietly.

<<>> Trump said a lot more that that in the interview. and if i were him i would promote myself in some way as well. You have to sell yourself. to the sheeple his comments might mean something. if so great. and being so serious all the time will not get people to listen. like the comment that was recorded off air of Reagan (don't go ballistic) "My fellow Americans, I'm pleased to tell you today that I've signed legislation that will outlaw Russia forever. We begin bombing in five minutes." The joke was a parody of the opening line of that day's speech: "My fellow Americans, I'm pleased to tell you that today I signed legislation that will allow student religious groups to begin enjoying a right they've too long been denied — the freedom to meet in public high schools during nonschool hours, just as other student groups are allowed to do." This is tv not the real world after all. and i did forget that the speech was about a freedom that we had anyway without the law.

“We need a president obsessed with his ratings because of Obama?”

He mentions it = obsessed. Stop projecting.

Only Russia is bombing Isis .

You are such a tool. Russia is not interested in ISIS. The groups they are bombing are not ISIS. They are Christian and moderate groups trying to get rid of Assad. But you just go ahead and look to Putin as your savior and answer to the ME problems. The Cold War is going to be part of our vocabulary once again.

We need a president obsessed with his ratings?

Well, if ratings translate into "the will of the people"....

Hell yeah!

Which is why I understood what Trump was saying in that Russia bombing ISIS was a good thing

Because he had no intent on bombing ISIS. Putin may throw a bomb that direction, but he is more interested in propping Assad and keeping the port. Putin has no problem with ISIS taking Iraq, Saudi, Jordan, Israel and Lebanon. Do you?

“I dislike Obama, but this Rah, Rah Putin is cutting off my nose to spite my face.”

But if we keep our noses to the grindstone and toe-the-line, we can have our cake and eat it too.

Seek professional help for your Trump hating .

Ranting away about Trump while he has no control over the situation.

Isis is strong because Barry and VJ wanted it.

But you play the tired old distract game and point away at Trump .

Get help for your intense hatred of a total stranger .

“Other than Cruz, there is little else.”

I’ve been saying that for awhile. I’m so tired of elections where our choices are communism or communism lite. Politicians who speak out of both sides of their mouth (depending on the audience). I don’t know how far Trump will go with his presidential campaign but I am very happy he is running. If not, we would be stuck with the guy with the warchest full of campaign dollars. You guessed it, Jeb! All those Trump haters should be thanking him for thinning the field.

What’s your solution?

Protect the Kurds, keep Israel safe and bring hellfire down on ISIS in Iraq. We should have established "no fly zones" over our Syrian allies but I think that horse is out of the barn.

Here's your problem: you don't know what Russia is bombing. But, seeing that I do not know either, we can call it a wash.

If not for Trump, all the GOP candidates would all be using soft and gentle words to get us to accept 11,000,000 to 30,000,000 ILLEGALS as soon-to-be citizens. They would be preparing our acceptance of 200,000+ refugees from the middle east.

Finally, someone is saying what I think.

And he’s saying what I have thought about the situation in Syria for a long time.

Of course Russia had no intent of bombing only ISIS. They are involved solely to keep Assad in power for their interests. They’ll bomb whoever they have to for that purpose. As soon as Assad serves no purpose, they’ll cut him loose. ISIS is self-limiting in that they are not in the interest of the up and coming power in the ME-—IRAN. In my opinion, ISIS=Islam which is the ultimate problem in the region and will be for the foreseeable future.

IOW, you have no solution.

Just posting your displeasure at Trump, right?

Trump is right. Let the Russians do what we failed miserably to do.

The Russians don't have all the silly rules of engagement that we have. The Russians will do the job we didn't have the balls to do.
