Donald Trump Blasts Obama’s Military Weakness; ‘Bring Back Patton’
breitbart.com ^ | Michael Patrick Leahy

“Bring back Patton!” Trump boomed to a cheering audience, referencing the aggressive American general from World War II, George Patton, who won the Battle of the Bulge.

*snip*

Trump continued on the theme of great American military leaders of the past. “I liked McArthur. You know, in the history of West Point, he had the highest marks. . . He would get off his plane with the corn cob pipe and the high hat and he’d say ‘Here I am, you mess with me, go ahead, mess with me,’” he pointed out.

But today, Trump added, “it’s different.”

“So they’re interviewing recently this general on television—first of all, he shouldn’t be on television, doing an interview, right?” he said as the audience applauded. “He’s supposed to be unpredictable,” Trump emphasized.

“I’ve been using that term. They said I did this great deal recently. It was a great business deal. And my other side, they were tough, but I beat ‘em,” Trump explained.

“They said, ‘You know we don’t like Donald Trump but I have to tell you he was really tough to beat because he’s so damn unpredictable. We couldn’t predict what his moves were.’ ”

“And I said to myself, our country has to be unpredictable,” Trump added to more cheers.

Unpredictability is right.

But not the way the msm is likely to portray it. They’ll insinuate DT means being a loose cannon; a ‘cowboy’ (the msm’s favorite euphenism); unstable.

We know he means unpredictable as one is in the game of chess. Patient and smart; calculating.

Thanks RR -he’s absolutely correct. Our generals find themselves to be predictable because of oh, the dark won revealing everything he plans to do and THE appointed oh, the dark won’s generals attempting to follow their orders. The Franklin crowd loved his remark....as do WTP. Another Patton, MacArthur, or only a Trump? This is the man AMERICA needs to MAKE OUR COUNTRY GREAT AGAIN!!

Mr. T - another voter found for you, sir. After hearing your Franklin address, she was ready to go out and put a GO TRUMP bumper sticker on her car. She REALLY REALLY likes you... while still admiring Dr. Carson.

Like Obama said: "Don't call my bluff".

In other words -- "I'm bluffing. I'm pretending that I might do something. But there's no way I'm actually going to do that thing. So don't worry. But don't tell people I'm bluffing. Because that would really embarrass me."

The stock market doesn’t like unpredictable. There is a way around it though; Trump just has to be predictably unpredictable.

Interesting comment. The big difference between The Donald and Obama is, Trump wants to bring in competent strong leaders to run the government, while Obama wants to bring in weaklings that won’t challenge or contradict him. Obama is a pussy momma’s boy.

"Bring back Patton!” Trump boomed to a cheering audience"

As much as we on FR love that sentiment, give the current rules of engagement that our armed forces are saddled with, Patton would be less effective than Monty was.

He's right....excepting the time for action has passed. If you think I would fight Russia over Syria at this point...plus Iran and China.....you're nuts.

Obama should NEVER have withdrawn all our troops from Iraq.

He never should have assassinated Khadafi (which was illegal).

He never should have gone into Egypt.

He should have never armed the rebels in Syria....cuz we don't know who's who.

We should have never spent $500 million dollars to train 54 Syrian rebels.....5 of whom were captured first time out. Our military says they're rethinking this training stuff.

We should have never sat down with Iran until our prisoners were released. (Can we give Bergdahl back?)

Just too many stupid moves. Like playing chess with a 5 year old.

It occurs to me that Trump is running a "free association" campaign.

Newsmen ask, "what about the economy?"

Trump answers, "cut taxes, cut regulation, cut government spending."

Newsmen: "Is that all?"

Trump just stares at them.

Newsmen ask "what about the military?"

Trump says "Patten, MacArthur."

Newsmen don't get it, but America gets it.

Newsmen ask, "well what about a White House pet if elected?"

Trump says: "African lion, Bengal tiger...or perhaps a great white shark."

Newsmen glance at the puddle forming under their chairs.

LOL. He missed his chance to be "Pattonesque" during the Vietnam war.
