LONDON: Russian President Vladimir Putin is reportedly sending 150,000 soldiers to Syria to wipe out the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

According to The Daily Star, he is apparently mounting an enormous military mission to take control of the terror group's stronghold of Raqqa.

Raqqa is the self-declared capital of ISIS which is patrolled by as many as 5,000 jihadi members.

Putin is set to mobilise 150,000 reservists whom he conscripted into the military earlier this week.

If this is true, did you ever think you’d live to see the day.

He may have a few other hidden agendas, but will be interesting to watch. We don’t fight to win in the classic sense anymore anyway, so have at it Vlad. Doubt that he worries about “ hearts and minds”.

ISIS well flee back into Iraq where its safe.

For now. But, the Sunni tribesmen don't like ISIS strangers, because they've been so brutal, and the Shiites, who will be backed by Iran, hate them, too. So, I don't think they'll find much refuge there.

What I find interesting is that Obama's ineptly (or on purpose... hard to tell with him) given the whole area to a Russian-Iran axis; and also, that Russia, which has a large internal Muslim population, feels it can do this without fearing a huge terror problem at home. Do they have all the "good" Muslims?

Obama has about 16 months till he gets his “gender” reassignment surgery and then the transformation will be complete where he and Michelle have completed the role reversals to Barrette & Michael.

Hold the phone here a moment. Yes, Putin did announce the call up of 150,000 conscripts. But I was given to understand that it was a normal, scheduled call up and didn’t have anything to do with Syria?

I agree. I think it’s just media hysterics, as usual.

And what would President Jarrett do about it if they pursued them into Iraq?

I think so too. The source is The Daily Star. A British tabloid.

Meanwhile, Obama is still trying to separate the good terrorists from the bad terrorists.

Putin draws no distinction and will just go in and kill everybody.

Well, he certainly acts feminine now, nothing swinging between the legs; what an embarrassment!

The American media will ignore this because it proves 0 is playing for the other side.

Report in Russian that Iraq has asked for bombing assistance from Putin.

If true, Obama lost Iraq

Waiting to see if it hits the English media

Quite possible. Putin doesn’t mess around. But don’t expect them all to leave when they’re done killing obama’s little comrades there. Syria’s been part of Russia’s sphere for many years and they’ve no Intention of leaving any power vacuum there.

Besides which they are >untrained< conscripts ... normally many do not show up or find some out such that the 150K number falls significantly, Then later, many are severely beaten or killed during “training” and are no longer useful as soldiers. Of those that are deployed - not a small number defect or desert. The 150K conscript number could turn into just another usually unreliable brigade force not good for much and not useful except for show.

How'd did non-intervention work out for us on 9-11-2001?

No, IMO, we need to seek these barbarians out wherever they are; Syria, Iran, Iraq, etal and finally and totally obliterate them and not worry about collateral damage, nuke 'em!

Get rid of them and then get rid of the invasion here at home.

Michelle has the “swinging between the legs” department well under control. barrack is the fem. It is also the goddess of the media and a very large, if not majority, of the population of the united States.

I don’t support the USA frittering away our GI’S and our treasure in the ssxt hole they call the Middle East whether it be Syria or Iraq. They should be on our border actually defending America. Let the Middle East solve their own problems.

I agree with you on that.

And I believe we should dispute the current meme that this is going around that this Russian/Iranian initiative will result in an huge increase in Iran's influence over Syria. I don't believe that for a minute. Syria has been a client of Iran for a long time. Nothing we can do short of removing Assad and installing a Dream Democracy in Syria is going change that. Winning Assad's war against ISIS and the al Queda and U.S./CIA supported "friendly" rebel forces will just reset the Iranian dominance of Syria back to to "normal".

And ISIS is a much bigger threat to us than Assad so we should welcome the Russian effort to destroy them. Is there any doubt about that? ISIS is sending their jihadists to the U.S. to kill us. Today. This Week. This Month. This Year. No Thanks.

Check post #13. The Iraqi prime minister just gave Putin legitimacy to go into Iraq as well.

Putin is not a fool. Obama left a power vacuum and Putin can just go in and take over Iraq and Syria. 150k ground troops should do the job and will find little resistance.

Somebody will take the oil. If the choices are Russia, Iran or Isis it’s probably better if the Russians take it.
