ROSEBURG, Ore. (AP) - When the gunshots started at Umpqua Community College, some people mistook them for falling books. But Army veteran Chris Mintz quickly recognized the threat.
"He was in the military and knew what it was," said Mintz's aunt, Wanda Mintz.
He was hit in both legs, his stomach, his back and in the hand, but the bullets did not hit any of his vital organs. He has two rods in his legs and is going to be in a wheelchair for the foreseeable future, she said.

True and something else to ad. The killer had a negro mother and a white father. Obama had a negro father and a white mother. Obama lists his ethnicity as black. The killer is black. Same as Obama.
Try to find some detail on the negro mother. You’ll find none. No images, nothing. It’s being cleansed. Which is especially odd as there are numerous references to him living with his mother and being very “close” to his mother. Instead we can find information about his white father. This is quite intentional, Google working overtime. Now if you try Bing, you will get results on the mother and statements about weapons she owns. It’s quite amazing.

Somehow I missed that too. And all the statements from the other politicians.
All of them are too busy spouting their own political stance on the shooter.
I'm looking at this from another angle.
Alek Scarlotos was one of the four guys who wrestled the terrorist shooter in Paris?? He's from Oregon and from the school's Town. And I believe he went to that school.
I'm sure Alek Scarlatos' name was all over the local papers.
I think he was the catalyst for the attack....and I don't mean it as an attack on aLEK in any way.
Just that this perp was thinking....maybe someone will wrestle me....and my name and bio will be in the paper, too.
If I got this all wrong....please come up with a different angle.

Heard yesterday to school has opened themselves to lawsuits for failure to protect the student. You cannot deny those who have authorization to carry to carry and then not protect them
