I agree with the trades being an honorable way to make a living. I come from a long line of blue-collar Machinists, Plumbers, Electricians and Sheet Metal guys. Most of my Uncles were Cops and Firemen. We have ONE Doctor (Obstetrician) out of the dozens of us...and no Lawyers, Thank God! All worked like dogs for 20+ years and all are now comfortably retired.
Beau is a Cement Man, so he helps build new neighborhoods and roads, etc. He’s retiring next year at 56, then we’re going to farm until we starve to death.

It is true what you say.
The government didn’t want me on the unemployed list anymore.
I tried calling in to notify them I still didn’t have work.
6:58am, lines were not open on the phone.

7:00am, after navigating phone menu for 30 seconds. “All lines are currently busy, please call back.” And such as it was for hours and weeks. Couldn’t ‘stay on the line until we can get to you’.
I couldn’t update my status online (not permitted for that change, still unemployed after benefits ran out) and couldn’t get them to ever take the call. I never went down in person but that’s a lot of hassle for someone who is neither looking for nor going to receive any money or another check.
I eventually found and accepted something that has no long term prospect and pays under $15 an hour for experienced, degreed, engineering professional work. Thanks Obama. I’m underemployed, still amassing debt, and being paid below what liberals think burger flippers should get on day one.
My search continues but the Democrat government neither acknowledges or cares.
Democrats assure us this kind of discrimination does not occur. Neither does turning down people because they don't speak Spanish, Hindi, or Chinese (to work with the rest of the staff on site or offshore).
I don't think good things have ever happened, in history, when millions of able bodied young men have too much idle time on their hands.
