From the article,
“Earlier reports, citing a survivor’s account as told to relatives, said that Harper Mercer asked people whether they were Christian before firing. But J.J. Vicari, who was in the classroom next to the where the attack occurred, said he never heard the gunman ask about religion and never even heard the gunman’s voice.”
Why would he? I assume the walls are not paper thin and that gunfire is loud. But the media instead of taking the word of someone in the same room will go with this guys account of what he did not hear.
Yes, J.J. Vicari was not in the room with the murderer and victims. He was in another room. Only the account relayed by a granddaughter of one of the victims is mentioned there. But there was also a direct witness (a second witness) who said that Harper-Mercer asked the victims about their religion (other reports).
Well, I’m also on the West Coast, and I did not hear the shooter say anything.
In fact I never even heard him shoot.
This is a put-up frame of this poor man (oops, gender aggression).
That's to establish in the mind of those so motivated the fallacy that he did NOT say what he clearly said.
Good point in post 19. Notice “but” as though his not hearing it could actually call into question whether it happened or not. He was in an entirely different room.
