I heard Obama say this, and I was disgusted. Ideologies are defeated by better ideas, but often only after the advocates for bad ideologies are defeated with guns. It is close to the time to prepare for defeating liberal ideologies with better ideas.
Obama told the UN that, “Ideologies are not defeated with guns, they’re defeated by better ideas.”
This is the Middle East.When is the last time an idea was produced there, let alone a better idea. Guns ARE the better idea to defeat that ideology.

I wonder if when the curtains of his windows are closed, the door shut, and he is alone in the room,in a moment of honesty, if the guy in the WH ever ponders how history will judge him for his decisions. Tis not looking good the legacy he will leave behind. I feel sad for black people who had high expectations of him. Kind of like the Evangelicals who put Jimmy Carter in the WH, later all repented we lent him support. He really would have done better to have chosen his mentor, or his closest friends.
The Abolitionists had great ideas but the ideas were insufficient to free the slaves. It took a lot of blood to do that.
Obama has lost the Middle East and Northern Africa for multiple generations to come. He has also managed to begin the loss of Europe to the Islamic hordes. Quite the accomplishment.

Depends. If his view of the future doesn't include "those who slander the prophet of Islam", then his legacy is in good shape.
As I recall reading, the last time Europe had to get the Muslims out, it was done with swords, horses, and spears.

Understatement of the year. The “legacy” he leaves will cast a shadow on every living adult American for the rest of their lives.

You aren’t. Americans did not have the balls to do what needed to be done and our elected leaders, who we deserve, followed our cue.
So you can post missives about how we should have done this or done that. BFD. So can I. But we convinced nobody to do it.
And the same is true of Obama. America got what it deserved and now Iran and Russia will exert hegemony in the Middle East and there is not a freaking thing your missives or mine will do to change that one bit.

In the past, American presidents have addressed the United Nations to explain the greatness of America. But President Barack Obama just went in front of the U.N. to attack conservative Presidential candidate Donald Trump!
This is not classy, and is an embarrassment to America on the world stage:
Referring to the “most advanced democracies” in the world, [Barack] Obama admitted to the world leaders that there was opposition from the “far right” on trade agreements and immigration.
“We see greater polarization, more frequent gridlock; movements on the far right, and sometimes the left, that insist on stopping the trade that binds our fates to other nations, calling for the building of walls to keep out immigrants,” he said.
Trump is the only candidate that has specifically called for a wall on the Southern border of Mexico. He also has joined Republican opposition to Obama’s efforts on trade agreements in Asia.
Obama also lectured politicians in advanced nations for trying to win voters’ support by preying on their fears, an accusation he frequently makes when criticizing the Republican party.
Trump has been the champion of movements to secure America’s border, which is necessary after the immigration crisis Obama has created. Then after slamming Trump, he went on to dismiss dangerous regimes that run Iran and China.
Obama has so much arrogance, and doesn't’t seem to realize how weak he appears by offering to cut deals with Iran, a nation on the verge of nuclear arms. Trump, on the other hand, is a master negotiator and would defend American exceptionalism as President. Trump has sounded the alarm on sanctuary cities which has already encouraged congressional action, and shows Trump is already a leader without winning an election yet!
