Fiorina: Us Should Secure No-fly Zone Around US Backed Anti-assad Rebels, ‘Be Prepared’ To Use Force
Breitbart ^ | 9/30/15 | IAN HANCHETT

Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina argued the US should “secure a no-fly zone around anti-Assad rebel forces that we’re supporting” and “be prepared” to use force against Russia if need be on Wednesday’s “Hannity” on the Fox News Channel.

Fiorina said, Well, first, we know what’s going on. Syria and Russia, who have had a longstanding relationship, Iran, and Iraq, are forming an unholy alliance. Russia’s intentions are to shore up, and stabilize the Assad regime. ISIS is sort of a camouflage. There is no doubt, that Russia will be conducting airstrikes against anti-Assad rebels, whether or not they happen to strike a few ISIS folks as well is, I don’t know, to be determined. Here’s what we need to do immediately, I believe. First, not only can we not withdraw our air support, but I believe we must tell the Russians that we will conduct — we will secure a no-fly zone around anti-Assad rebel forces that we’re supporting. This is a tricky maneuver, it’s a dangerous maneuver, but it’s a maneuver that we must undertake, because we must make it crystal clear to Russia that they do not get to move into the Middle East, and become the dominant outside power, which is clearly their intention.”

When asked if these means the US might use force against Russian aircraft, Fiorina answered, “Well, hopefully not. hopefully, if we are signaling clearly to the Russians our intention, it will not come to that. But if it does come to that, I think we must be prepared.

Does she want to start a world war? And just over a few Muslim fighters far from the shores of America.

I agree. But I wouldn’t refer to it as ‘isolationism’ per se.

I see it as a tactical move to shore up our own country first (economically, culturally, militarily), and that will require everything we’ve got. That also includes eradicating the enemy within.

Then we’re in a position to resume our proper role as leader of the free world.

Doing that would NOT start world war. I don't agree with her position, but you really think that Russia would start World War III?

Good grief.

She could have helped herself by saying, “Look, the idea here is for the Russians and Iranians to get the price of oil up above $100. He was dumb enough to get himself mired in Syria, then I say bully for Putin.

The way to deal with Russia is to go all in on the energy export business. We will keep the price of oil in a range between $50 and $80 and starve both regimes out of office in a year, and make money doing it.

We have enough energy reserves to keep the price at that level for 200 years. Oh, and it will create 100’s of thousands of jobs.

Next, we sell Jordan, Egypt, and Israel all the advanced weaponry they want. The latest gen SAMs, the best anti-tank weapons - everything they need to ensure that Russia and Iran’s military adventurism stays in Syria. While we are at it, we’ll sell Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, the Czechs and anyone else in Eastern Europe that is worried Putin’s going to ride his tiger and take his tiny giraffe with him into their countries again.

Oh, and it will create jobs too.

As for the Saudis, unless they take these refugees pouring into Europe, then they are on their own. Charity starts at home, and it is within their dogma to bring in, house, and care for all these brothers and sisters of theirs.

As for the Christians in Syria, Europe and the US stand ready to assist. When the Muslims renounce the aspects of their, um, religion that calls for the murder of those that don’t see cosmology their way, we’ll talk.

What we pledge not to do is what the Russians did to us in Viet Nam - supply weapons to ISIS, if that is really who they are attacking here, and we won’t supply weapons to Hezbollah, Army of Conquest, Muslim Brotherhood, the Boy Scouts, 4-H, the Rotary, or anyone else that happens to be involved in the sewer called Syria.

It won’t be long before the mothers of dead Russian conscripts starts pounding on Putin to stop this idiocy - in the Crimea and Syria.”

She’s not going to say this, but Trump or Cruz or Carson should.

This is crap, at least in the near term. The dollar has its problems, but what is the alternative -- Russian rubles (Russia is going down the tubes), Chinese yuans (China has been cooking its books for years), the crippled Euro?

When things go screwy the dollar is always a sefe-haven for the world to run to.

I disagree with Carly, we need to get the heck out of Syria and stay out of this unless we want to nosedive into WWIII. With the Pansy in Chief as president and the condition of our military, we are not prepared to accept the human cost it would take for an area that we shouldn’t have been involved with in the first place.

I read that also.

A pipeline through Turkey would reduce Russia’s influence over European affairs, and Russia threatening to turn off the natural gas spigot to Europe wouldn’t carry as much weight as a geopolitical power projection tactic.

I generally don’t have a problem with us trying to help reduce Russia strategic power, but I do have a problem with our political leaders deciding to fund/supply jihadists in Syria as a way to accomplish the goal.

The two John’s (McCain and Kerry) need to be expelled from positions of power in our govt ASAP.

The world is running away from the dollar.

Do a little googling. This isn't exactly breaking news.

I agree with your perspective. First things first, and that means setting our own house in order before addressing anything or anyone else.

Oh, great! This stupid bitch is "hoping" that we won't engage with the Russkies? HOPING? REALLY? Oh, and betting that Vladimir Putin will believe that Obama is serious about anything other than his golf game or visiting Reggie Love in some bath house.

I'd say that iCarly has just disqualified herself from being the Republican nominee, due to terminal stupidity - which kind of matches her performance at HP...but at least HP's creditors didn't have nukes.

The worst thing is, when words like this come out of any candidate’s mouth they become “Republican” positions in the eyes of the MSM - so all conservatives get tarred with the neocon brush.
