Planned Parenthood Pink Out Day Fails to Blackout the Truth

Planned Parenthood loves to celebrate its dishonest self. With nearly 100 years of public deception and pseudoscientific propaganda under its bloody belt, what’s another nationwide ad campaign to distort its billion-dollar abortion empire?

“Pink Out Day is our time to say: Listen to over a million Americans who are sick and tired of the relentless attacks on reproductive health care.” By million, they mean a few thousand who know as much about Planned Parenthood as Bill Nye the Tired Pro-Abortion “Science” Guy. Taken down from their IStandWithPP.com main menu is the EVENTS page. Perhaps it was too embarrassing to only have 25 alleged “support” locations listed. They could only get so many paid activists, uhhh, "supporters" to show up at their pinked-out rallies. In contrast, the pro-life ProtestPP.com initiative brought out over 78,000 Americans to over 340 locations across the country in August to protest the nation’s largest abortion and baby-parts-trafficking chain. (Join #ProtestPP again on October 10, 2015!)

Oh, those “relentless attacks”! Once again, the abortion giant is casting itself as a victim and accuses “anti-abortion extremists” (aka citizen journalists) of using “fraud and deception to shut” them down. The abortion giant is full of fraud and deception, and the American people are finally waking up to how rampant it is.

DEFENDING PLANNED PARENTHOOD

In Congressional hearings, two themes have repeatedly formed Democrat leaders’ inexplicable defense of Planned Parenthood, in light of the Center For Medical Progress videos’ exposure of the taxpayer-funded organization’s barbaric practices: the low-income and rape defenses.

Anyone who has studied Planned Parenthood understands why they target the poor. Their founder Margaret Sanger was an anti-human eugenicist who described birth control, in her book Women And The New Race, as “nothing more or less than the facilitation of the process of weeding out the unfit, of preventing the birth of defective or of those who will become defective.” Sanger’s eugenic disdain for the poor was evident in all of her writings: “We who advocate Birth Control, lay all of our emphasis upon stopping no only the reproduction of the unfit but upon stopping all reproduction when there is not economic means of providing proper care...” The abortion giant’s DNA is not that of compassion but of cruelty—an ardent belief that all human life is not equal.

THE LOW-INCOME DEFENSE

“The people most likely to experience reduced access to care would probably reside in areas without access to other health care clinics or medical practitioners who serve low-income populations. However, the extent to which Medicaid beneficiaries served by Planned Parenthood live in such areas is uncertain.” This is the statement by the Congressional Budget Office in its report on defunding Planned Parenthood. Despite this, the incessantly wrong CBO continues to arbitrarily project that up to 15 percent of

Planned Parenthood’s customers, if the abortion giant were defunded, would “lose access to care”. Let’s just keep in mind how accurate the CBO was on Obamacare.

Planned Parenthood claims to have 2.7 million “customers”. Of course, none of this can be verified. Considering the amount of Planned Parenthood’s documented Medicaid fraud and overbilling, how can anyone trust the abortion chain’s numbers? Independent audits from state health departments have found repeated fraud committed by Planned Parenthood in Medicaid overbilling that amounts to $130 million according to Alliance Defending Freedom’s 2015 report, Profit, No Matter What. And that’s just scratching the surface.

You can’t steal from the very fund that is meant to provide for the poor and claim you’re some kind of savior to the same people. Planned Parenthood is no savior. They’re predators, preying on fears and misinformation reinforced by mainstream media, clueless celebrities, and liberal public education. There are 13,540 clinics providing comprehensive medical healthcare and only 665 Planned Parenthood abortion/abortion referral centers. An alliance of pro-life, pro-family, pro-liberty organizations has launched GetYourCare.org to provide an easily searchable database that provides the locations of these low cost, high-quality healthcare facilities that provide services to low-income individuals and families.

THE RAPE DEFENSE

Planned Parenthood has been repeatedly found guilty of failing to report rape. Despite the fact that rape-related pregnancies comprise less than 1% of nationwide abortions (I was conceived in rape) Planned Parenthood and its allies continually exploit rape to justify 100% of abortions. Most recently, the Alabama Department of Public Health released a report that Planned Parenthood never reported the sexual abuse of a 14 year old who sought medication abortions twice at its facility, 4 months apart. In Arizona, Planned Parenthood never reported rapist Tyler Kost after “treating” his 14 year old victim. No thanks to Planned Parenthood, the serial rapist faced 27 counts of sexual assault in court because others who actually care about the well being of young women reported him.

THE FACTS ABOUT PLANNED PARENTHOOD

You won’t see these facts on their website. Planned Parenthood violently ended the lives of 327,653 humans last year. Planned Parenthood killed young black mother Tonya Reaves by letting her bleed to death for over 5 hours. Planned Parenthood supports the killing of unborn children even if born alive. Planned Parenthood declared that the death rate (260 women) from illegal abortions in 1957 was low. Planned Parenthood calls more black babies aborted than born alive (in NYC) “reproductive justice”. Planned Parenthood’s breast cancer screenings have drastically dropped from 830,312 to 487,029 in last five years.

We don’t need Planned Parenthood. Despite Cecile Richards’ false claim, 1 in 5 women do not depend on Planned Parenthood for their healthcare. Even if every one of their 2.68 million clients were female, it would still amount to only 2.5% of women (or 1 in 40 women) ages 15-64 in America. Planned Parenthood can be defunded and replaced.

We know that the nation's largest abortion chain depends on lies, tweets and repeats. These facts won’t be shouted out by their pink-adorned “supporters” or mainstream media mouthpieces. Those who truly believe in human rights won't allow truth to face a blackout during a #PINKOUT day or any other Big Abortion Bash. Americans need to have the moral courage to #DefundPP. Don’t let a billion-dollar abortion empire fool you into thinking its primary color is pink. The colors that define Planned Parenthood are profit-driven green soaked in blood red.

You nailed it. I recently saw a post online by someone attacking my friend with excuses that mirrored those you outlined.

“”Name withheld, I know you’re against abortion, and I think you know by now that I’m very pro-choice—I rarely engage in these debates because, frankly, things get heated very quickly. First, with regards to anyone saying “HOW CAN YOU BE SURE that no government money goes to abortion??”—Visit a Planned Parenthood, seriously. I volunteer at one as a clinic escort, helping women make it past some very aggressive, very un-Christlike protesters who would rather pelt them with fake plastic fetuses than provide infrastructure for communities that need it most.

And in case you’re wondering, really really—many women who go there aren’t there for abortions at all—INCLUDING MYSELF, during a time of my life when I did not have an employer providing me with insurance. I went there for general care. They took my blood pressure, they did my yearly Pap smear, they did some blood work. But I’m not apologetic that abortion is performed at PP. See, here’s the thing: despite all the stigma about it, the women that make this decision make it because it’s the RIGHT choice for them.

Not only are the abortions NOT funded by the government, even JANITORIAL supplies used by the staff to clean those facilities are segregated from the REST of the healthcare facility. Yes. As Joshua said, it’s quite easy to allocate funds and time and resources to different cost centers. That’s not a “defense,” that’s a fact. Every business does it. And every federal contractor, from Boeing on down to the very humblest small business bidding on a government contract or receiving government funds, certifies the use of federal funds. We are required to account for every single foot of wire and rubber washer we buy with government grant money, and we are subject to audits at any time. I imagine PP wouldn’t be much different.

Frankly, defunding a public health care provider simply deprives more people—not just women—of healthcare. I’ve seen some absolutely bizarre arguments on defunding PP—one of the m goes “Oh, we should defund because if women have to pay MORE for healthcare, they’ll have less money for abortions!” What!? So you want people to go around untested, with one less community health provider, without access to birth control—so they’ll spend less on abortions? So that they’ll have one less place to give them factual information on the transmission of disease, and on how o avoid pregnancy? On what planet does that make sense?

Sorry, Name withheld

*Abortion on demand and without apology* (drops the mic)””

It’s as frustrating as it is sad that these people walk among us and have such power and influence.

I wonder if any PP anywhere has been audited. (They probably get audited about as often as health inspectors enter their abortuaries.) What I suspect is that they funnel a lot of the money they get back to politicians to buy the politicians' votes.

So you want people to go around untested, with one less community health provider, without access to birth control—so they’ll spend less on abortions? So that they’ll have one less place to give them factual information on the transmission of disease, and on how o avoid pregnancy? On what planet does that make sense?

It makes sense on a planet where we would rather see people get health care and reliable birth control. When it comes to birth control, there is a *huge* conflict of interest for Planned Parenthood. The profit margin on abortion is huge; the profit margin on birth control is very slim. They have every incentive in the world to give out faulty birth control, or write prescriptions for ineffectively low doses.

The bottom line is that *no one* should have to trust their health care to baby killers. A person who has no qualms about killing a baby can kill anyone. To them, it's all about the bottom line: is the patient worth more dead, or alive?
