Since being diagnosed nearly ten years ago I’ve held my own, no complaints. You just deal with whatever comes your way. This is why I love BIG PHARMA. Without them, I’m gone.

I’m the luckiest guy walking, no doubt.

The only thing better than owning a Corvette, is owning TWO Corvettes. Sounds like you and the Wife are having fun.

I had a C4 Convertible way back when. Compared to the C7, it was a Flintstones Car. It was fun to drive it on PCH though, top down and radio blasting even as underpowered and lumbering as it was. You’re making me think that my next Car will be a Convertible. It’s been a while, memories.

Thanks for your kind thoughts. I appreciate it my FRiend.

The truck diesel guys tried that approach back in the 90s.

I assume they had at lest as good attorneys as VW.

You certainly have the right attitude. There is little beyond prayer, adhering to doctors treatments and advice, and taking the necessary prescribed meds, it's all we can do. Since we live in times of amazing medical advances, we are indeed lucky in that respect.

A vert is the only way to fly, in my opinion LOL. I find I put the top down more on warn nights than hot Louisiana days, because the sun beats down on you constantly. Nothing like the warm night air.

The reason we have 2 vettes is because I took her vette out one morning while she was sleeping, after working all night, to run some errands she had wanted me to run. When I got home she was up waiting for me, and asked what are you doing driving my car. Now realize that "her car" is in my name. My response was, oh so it's your car now. She said yes, so I went to the dealership & bought mine. The reason I got the 13 Grand Sport is because it was the last 13 they had in stock and so they were willing to wheel & deal on it. But I really wanted the 14 even though it was a hard top. Good sense finally prevailed and I decided that the Grand Sport was good enough LOL.

The Grand Sport is a great Car. I think it may will become a Collectable being a last Year C6 Production run “special” Model.

You may well get most of your investment back if and when you sell it.

Yes, I am aware that most Cars are not investments, except for Chevelles, Cobras, Cudas, Ferraris, Shelbys and ???.
On second thought, never mind. LOL

As far as the “my car” comment your Wife made, we all know the Rule. What’s hers is hers and what’s yours is hers.

That's what my wife says. Of course I will have to leave it to one of my step-sons, as I will never realize it in my lifetime. Unless I live into my hundreds, which I'm pretty sure is not going to happen.

I can tell you right now I would lose a considerable amount of money selling it anytime soon.

Cars like the Ford GT40, Ferrari LaFerrari, Corvette 427 Convertible (available only in 2013 & only 2552 produced) , etc. can make money in a very short time because of their limited production numbers. Just for comparison sake here are the production numbers for C6 Corvettes The real collectibles may indeed be the base models, as they produced more Grand Sports than base for both coupes & convertibles in all of the years 2010 - 2013. On top of that they may actually be faster than the Grand Sport, which may look cooler due to their wider stance, since they are lighter in weight yet have the same horsepower rating. They should have tweaked the engine for the Grand Sport by at least 30-40 more horsepower in my opinion.
