The Teamsters supported Nixon, if I remember correctly. They are a union outlier.
To: Popman
Union leadership cares about money and power.

Bummer. Hillary was going to make labor relations the “Keystone” of her campaign. ;-)

A lot of union members would have benefited from the Keystone pipeline, which Hillary now opposes.

True. I said the same thing.

Have an acquaintance that is UAW/Chrysler. Dumb as a pallet full of off spec transmission parts.
He will think and do exactly whatever the union tells him to.

Yep. Refreshing Drudge every two milliseconds.

If the unions come on board, this is going to be a blowout.

Anyone want to guess the last Republican that the Teamsters supported? Anyone? Bueller?

People are indeed waking up, starting with Donald Trump. I think he had been asleep for a long long time, but now he is wide awake!

What goes around . . . Teamsters supported Ronald Reagan, the last time they supported a GOP candidate.

The Teamsters endorsed Reagan in 1984... This is not unheard of...

This is the funniest thing I’ve read in a long time.
The irony of it. The poetic justice of it.
So Trump talks fair vs free trade and the unions are ready to talk.
Everything is upside down.

...We want DUES and dont care about boosting worker pay...For most unions that I know of (and the one I was in) dues are a percentage of a members' pay. So, the more a member makes the more dues he pays.
