A Bay Area doctor is sharing her painful story in hopes of stopping "Islamophobia."
Dr. Suzanne Barakat's story made national headlines earlier this year when her 23-year-old brother and two other people were gunned down in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She believes they were killed because they are Muslims.
On Monday, Barakat told her fellow doctors she sees signs of hate, even from patients, every day.
"My hope is this kind of thing never happens again to anyone and we can realize at the end of the day we're all human with the same ambitions, dreams and goals," Barakat said of her brother's death.
Deah Barakat, a dental student at the University of North Carolina, his wife, Yusor Muhammad, and his wife's sister were shot and killed allegedly by a neighbor back in February in what many consider a hate crime.
Dr. Barakat said racism and bias against Muslims, called Islamophobia, takes place even at an institution like San Francisco General.
"It is time you realize this is not acceptable," she said. "It's time people stand up for me."
The doctor said she's determined to change stereotypes in honor of her loved ones.
"I didn't feel they really left me a choice but to stand up and make voices heard and make sure their deaths didn't go in vain," Barakat said.
No one weeps when whites or Christians are killed by racist blacks or Muslims.
Uh huh. Human is as human does, okay? Don't start nothin', won't be nothin'. Problem is, you already started somethin'.
Ok it is terrible that a Muslim got killed for being a Muslim. But in the bigger picture, Muslims are slaughtering thousands because they are not Muslim. So it is a little bit difficult to paint this one all that sympathetically without 1000X more sympathy to the many many more victims in the other direction.

If I remember correctly, the lunatic killed those two over complaints about a parking space, not because they were muslim.

No we’re not. The American Dream and the Islamic dream are diametrically opposed to each other. Culturally, morally and spiritually incompatible. Witness Clockmed making his first trial run at bomb building vs oh, the Wright brothers or Henry Ford or Bill Gates, etc. Compare the puss pots of the ME (excepting Israel) with Europe or the US. NOT the same ambitions, dreams and goals! Not even close.

They weren’t killed because they were Muslim, they were killed because they posed an existential threat to others, and every Muslim out there is an unknown quantity, the rest of us not knowing when they might go all Jihadist, for totally unpredictable reasons.
They do NOT have “the same ambitions, dreams and goals” as the rest of humanity, they are ALL afflicted with a madness that recognizes only the ultimate superiority of the words of a sun-crazed sand hermit suffering from the later stages of schizophrenic paranoia.
Abandon this madness and come over to the side of light, mercy and release from the bondage, that perhaps you do not recognize as the compulsory enslavement that it is. Christians, Buddhists, and even Hindus will accept your blessed personal epiphany, and embrace you as a fellow human being, if only you have the bravery to give up your twisted value system that despises the least breath of fresh air and illumination of your soul. Other Muslims may think it their duty to kill those who depart from Islam, but Islam is itself a dead end and trap.
In every country where Islam came in I think in the future we will find civil wars where Muslims will have caused other to defend themselves and their countries against them.

I have no sympathy for this doctor and other muslims. When they stop torturing and slaughtering Christians and Jews by the thousands, and take pity on others, then I might give a d*mn. Until then, they can all just die.

Stop flying jets into skyscrapers. Stop killing people for drawing mohammed. Stop with suicide bombs. Stop mutilating the genitals of young girls. Give up sharia. Stop raping young boys.
