MICHELLE OBAMA WEARS $2300 DRESS TO GREET POPE

Politico reports that First Lady Michelle Obama, looking lovely and classy, greeted Pope Francis Tuesday while wearing a $2,290 dress. While the Obamas are not Catholics, this is still a finger-in-the-eye to a White House guest who frequently speaks out — to wild Democrat applause — about the evils of excessive capitalism.

Both President and Mrs. Obama are disciples of Jeremiah Wright, a racist Jew-hating Chicago-based preacher. Not long after Obama ascended to the presidency, Wright, Obama’s religious mentor for 20 years, retired to a $1 million, 10,400 square foot mansion located next to a country club and golf course.

According to WorldVision, you can feed a child for just $35 a month. Michelle Obama’s dress would feed over 80 children for that month. This choice obviously is contrary to the values of Pope Francis. But the Obamas’ religious values come from elsewhere, a divisive and disturbing place, not a charitable or unifying one.

Other than this quick Politico blurb that doesn’t even take issue with the cost of Mrs. Obama’s dress, nowhere else has this news been reported. Compare this to the media’s 2012 media “firestorm” over Ann Romney’s $990 dress, which she wore on a morning show, not to stand in the shadow of St. Peter.

The thing about Nancy Reagan’s dresses, IIRC, is that they were borrowed or donated. It was a big deal for a designer to get the kind of exposure given by her appearances. Of course the MSM always left that little detail out. The same could be the case with Michelle, who knows. I don’t see anything outrageous about this dress, it’s just a little tight across the shoulders and bust. But that could be her posture at that moment.

She has a staff of, what, 25-30 peeps? Hire someone who knows protocol (or just has some taste and common sense) and can convince her to not dress frumpy when you meet a King and Queen. A big 'and', I know.

Agreed on the other ladies, they're smoking hot. But one can still avoid frumpy. And granted, Mobama goes with flats due to her height, no Louboutin sammy red bottoms for her.

Depends. Majorca has a definite Med climate, but is usually fairly breezy, so it's comfortable year round.

But trufe be tolt, Michelle was 'shopped into that pic for contrast - same location, same steps going up to the Majorca manse, but taken at different times.

The only issue I take is that the color, turquoise, was more summery than late September (maybe the same dress in a bronze tone?) would have been better. But...high neckline, low hemline (it was windy, btw, reason why hem looks uneven and hair was windblown). The girls and Mrs. Robinson also dressed appropriately.

The Obamas are NOT Catholic, but her staff made certain that a Catholic designer made the dress, and the price (to me) seems fair.

There’s no excuse for a woman who has the money to spend and a staff to assist her, and yet, she chooses a dress that does nothing for her. Bottom line is that she has no taste in clothes nor does she know how to wear them. She is a awkward, unattractive woman, who has had some plastic surgery on her face, but the ugliness of her inner self still continues to shine through. I judge her by the words that come out of her mouth about this country and our culture, our military, and the nasty looks on her face when she is displeased about something, which is often. She is a disgrace, but most of all, she is a Marxist. She needs to be booted out of OUR White House, along with her Marxist “husband.”

I suspect that wearing something designed by a Catholic was a PR ploy and done at the suggestion of one of her 32 staff members. It’s all part of political staging.

She has access to all the top designers in the world and cost is obviously not an issue so not sure why she would choose something of a color and fabric type which does not IMO either flatter her or cover up figure flaws.
