Graham itching to confront Cruz, Paul

Lindsey Graham has told colleagues he launched his implausible presidential campaign, in part, for two reasons: Rand Paul and Ted Cruz.

The straight-talking South Carolina senator hasn't been able to rebut his two conservative Senate colleagues on a debate stage yet. But he’ll get a chance on the Senate floor later this week when he slugs it out over their hardball legislative tactics to defund Planned Parenthood that have Congress hurtling toward a government shutdown.

Graham said in an interview he's prepared to confront Cruz directly as the chamber braces for a rhetorical assault from the Texas senator, with Graham arguing that a shutdown would be futile and politically damaging. It’s an opportunity, Graham says, “to tell my side of the story here.” And, the senator with the syrupy Southern drawl admits, it won’t be because he thinks it’s going to give him a bounce in the polls.

“I’m running to be the president of the United States. And a certain amount of honesty comes with that,” Graham said in an interview. “Shutting down the government, I think it hurts our overall cause and I don't mind telling people that. If I’m going to be a good nominee and a good president, I’ve got to tell you what I believe.”

Little Lindsey hasn't been able to go after Cruz and Paul on the debate stage, because he was at the kiddie table, so now he's going after them in the Senate.

Has Graham come up with a plan to pass APPROPRIATIONS BILLS??? Of course not! As usual, he's going along with the Establishment's RULE BY CONTINUING RESOLUTION game. So that the power of the purse is controlled by the senate and the president, not the House.

There’s probably another reason for that “itching,” Lindsey.

I'm going to the bathroom to puke now.

Oh please, God, indulge Lindsay Graham’s “itch” to engage Ted Cruz. That’s something I won’t want to miss.

Does it hurt our overall cause to know that worse than murder is taking place by Planned Parenthood, and then do nothing but continue funding? What would it take for Graham to shut down the government?

There are no other options, Mr. Graham? Just keep funding them because...?

The Republicans in the government can think of no way to stop the murder of children and selling of their body parts? Sad, and certainly NOT presidential.

STFU you little pansy.

Cruz will eat your lunch, and then pull the brown paper bag over your head while giving you a Texas-style wedgie.

The truth is that establishment Republican politicians (now leaders AND the majority in Congress) are extremely averse to standing up for the beliefs they espoused to voters to get elected. At the first hint of dissatisfaction from media or Democrats, they cower in their corners and cry like babies about how “we have to work together, will hurt our cause, and so on.”

They are, in fact, cowards - much like the wife beating abuser who is master of his own little domain (to the wife’s great disadvantage) but a complete coward nobody outside the home. And, in this regard, the average Republican voter is the ‘abused wife’.

They are disgusting ball-less filth in my opinion.

Continuing to fund Planned Parenthood knowing that it is profiting from selling fetal tissue is the equivalent to providing a government subsidy to a Black Market Organ provider.

Yeah Lindsy we know you are another of the Rino Plants to make sure Ted Cruz does not get the nomination.
Cruz has already proved that shutting down the government works, filibustering Obamacare was supposed to be a disaster for the Republicans, how did that work out Lindsey? All it did was expose you and your Rino frauds for what you are Pussies!
Go ahead take on Cruz I want him to finally get attention, seems the only way you get asked anything is by calling someone names,so go ahead Lindsey attack him good so Ted can eat your lunch
