Don't know how true this? Nevertheless, it is worth the footnote.

IF this is true..., then it's very bad news for ISIS. Which would make sense why they are leaving and blending with the Syrian refugees.

The biggest concern is U.S. and Russian forces shooting at each other.

How many ISIS wolves in Syrian refugee clothing will the US end up with?

The Russians appear to play a bit differently with ISIS than Zerobama does ......

No chance. They couldn’t support them.

The U.S. Hasn’t produced a bomber in 22 years. The big bomber fleets of Cold War years are long gone. Today, the Air Force only has about 160 heavy bombers left to cover the whole world — 76 B-52 Stratofortresses, 63 B-1 Lancers, and 20 B-2 Spirits. On any given day many of them are not ready for combat; they are having on-board equipment replaced, or conducting training missions, or awaiting maintenance. So the actual number of heavy bombers ready to go right now in a crisis is only about a hundred.

Meanwhile, the Russkies are sending 170 bombers to Syria alone.

Wow, this is huge if true!

The West has been determined to see the fall of Syria. Looks like Russia is more determined to see it does not.

Right... This seems a bit overkill.

I wonder if Russia is planning to split Iraq with Iran?

I’ll believe it when I see it. I hate to see the Russians gain such a sure foothold in the ME...they’re NEVER going to leave...but I would dearly relish seeing ISIS obliterated.

After viewing many Youtube vids of tanks and armored vehicles getting blown up, I’d posit that Syria does not have many tank drivers left.

Seems that their type of urban warfare does not favor tanks when the enemy can fire RPGs downward from multistory buildings.

Not an expert, but that’s the impression I got.

I can see Russia launching to Iraq from Syria and Iran from the East.

Then an attack into Saudi Arabia. Don’t be surprised if that happens.

Don’t remember Afghanistan in the late 70’s early 80’s, eh?

170 bomber are probably attack aircraft. I cannot see a need for a large strategic bomber in urban areas.

The biggest concern is U.S. and Russian forces shooting at each other.

They will be shooting in different directions, that's for sure.

Obama doesn't want to destroy ISIS, he just wants people to think that's his goal.

After all, it was the Obama administration and American money that created and equipped ISIS.

Too good to be true.

Yep. Russia has an economy the size of Italy. An economy in recession from sanctions & low oil prices. No chance they can send 100,000 troops to the ME. That’s a day dream that won’t be happening.

Agree unless they are planning to attack into Iraq.

I bet Russia is going to split Iraq with Iran.

Russia will invade from Syria in the West and Iran will invade from the East.

That was the USSR. This is kleptocratic Russia. Big difference.

Physically, it just wouldn’t work. It requires too much logistical effort. Plus their troops aren’t known for their discipline.

Iran and Saudi hate each other.

If Russia has this force, then they are planning on going into Iraq. It’s too big for just Syria. ISIS is all over Western Iraq.
