This would work if the sample did not know they were being sampled. Otherwise, if they are aware of how important they are to the networks, expect they will not behave normally. You could account for this by applying estimates but it is unmeasured in the pool. For example, I would expect them to cancel their service less than an unmonitored pool of similar composition.

They have an establishment aura about them since Trump. I can’t watch any of them since the first debate and Megyn. I thought they were watchable before Trump came on the stage. The day Trump announced, Dana (The Five) was yeling. All 5 of the 5 turned into democrats that day. I was disappointed in Eric .. even Kimberly. It was a hatefest.. and even yet today, they can’t find anything good in Trump. So, let their ratings fall.. they are asking for it.

Not true at all. I use DirectTV, and don't even have my boxes connected to the Internet... there's no way for my stuff to transmit anything.
Nielsen still uses their 5,000 family sampling method, and that's still the basis for the ratings.
Have been saying for some time now that someone is lying. I quit watching Kelly File after the debate and I have heard so many, many people say the same thing. How can her ratings still be so high when so many people boycott it?

Unfortunately for ole Roger, his boss, Rupert Murdoch is anti-Trump, and I’m betting that’s also true for the Arabs who own a piece of Fox as well. I’ll say it again, Trump has performed an invaluable service just “outing” all these folks we thought were at least somewhat conservative, while all along they were just big bucks RINOs and worse. At the end of the day, there isn’t a nickel’s worth of difference between Fox and the others. Personally, I’m really tired of being sold a bill of goods.
I still can’t get over how stupid the three moderators were. They actually bragged about how they had planned to trash Trump. I can believe that Chris Wallace and Bret Baier were too thin to realize what it would look like, but Megan should have known that it would just make them look stupid.
