Defense Lawyer Makes Shock Allegation About Why Texas Deputy Was at Gas Station at Time of Killing
The Blaze ^ | Sep. 21, 2015 | Oliver Darcy

Posted on 09/22/2015 6:08:18 AM PDT by artichokegrower

The lawyer representing the man accused of killing Texas Deputy Darren GoForth said Monday that his review of evidence has led him to believe the officer was at the gas station for a rendezvous with a woman he was having an affair with.

“I believe he was not there pumping gas. I believe he went to the station to meet this young lady,” said Anthony Osso, who is representing Shannon Miles.

Would I want my lawyer to lie? No. The jury will see the surveillance video and that would damage the lawyers credibility.

Another Liar for Hire trying to make his bones by slandering any one he can to provide cover for some slimeball. How irrelevant is this piece to the case.

Personally I wouldn’t trust any one of these dirtbags. It’s no coincidence that liar and lawyer both begin with L.

Gag order needs to be put into effect immediately. This is poisoning the well for jury selection. Deputy Goforth was in uniform, pumping gas into a patrol car when executed, which can be argued are actions more in line with his job’s duties than not. There was no connection between accused and either the deputy or woman claiming the affair so crime of passion is out. No where else to go but blame the victim.

Put an I between these brackets <> at the beginning and end of your sentence. Like this? How do you turn off the italics?

Not that it matters, but I do recall from the original storey that a women happened on the scene and was interviewed by a Reporter. From what I recall she said “he was my best friend” referring to the dead Officer. It struck me as a bit odd, but maybe he lived in the city where he was killed, where every one knew each other. Like I said it hardly matters, the Lawyer gives Pond scum a bad name.

Put one of these:

/

Before the i in your second to turn it off.

Back in the old days, if one didn't turn off the code, it would affect all the replies on a thread until someone killed it. Funny, yet annoying...

He’s probably also got a string of Waco shootout criminal bike gang clients as well.

How did you italicize your text on FR?

Start italics with the characters: <I>
Stop italics with the characters: </I>

The "I" can be uppercase or lowercase "I".

I saw this defense lawyer on the news last night. He looks kinda cross eyed, sounded that way too.

So what if Goforth was having an affair, unless the wife hired the killer to off her cheating husband. The lawyer didn't hint that, he just hinted that if he was meeting the woman he could not have been on duty.

This murder has gotten more air time on our local stations than anything I have seen in years.

I agree with you but I do have a question. What difference does it make why the officer was there? He was killed execution style while pumping gas.

Still premeditated murder, and a capital offense. And now the defendant is admitting to it.

Get a rope.

“That’s the stupidest defense ever. “............

Scumbbag lawyers will say and do anything to get their clients off, lesser sentences, etc., etc.

This is immaterial to the case. An officer on duty is not prohibited from talking to someone he knows, even if that is not directly related to his duties. Even more so if it is in a public place.

Periodically, officers take breaks during the course of the day, for things like lunch, coffee, restroom, etc. But they are still on duty during those times, just excused from taking active calls, unless they are emergencies.

What difference does it make why the officer was there?

He was a cheater so he had it coming? I guess that must be defense theory.

Click on my name. Scroll to the bottom of my profile page. There are some html codes you can copy and paste, to use in your posts.

For italics, type < i > (without the spaces) to begin italics. Afterward, type < /i > (without the spaces) to end italics.

Once you introduce html to a post, you must use it throughout that post. For example, simply hitting the Return key will not create a new paragraph. You’ll need to use < P > or < /P > (without the spaces) after each paragraph. If you don’t use html in a post, you can post a url (web address) and it will automatically be converted to a hotlink (clickable). Not so if you’ve used any html in the post. Then you would need to use the html code for posting hotlinks.

So using this lawyer’s logic if someone had walked into the White House while Bill Clinton was having one of his encounters with Monica and blew him away it would have not been a presidential assassination but just plain murder.
