Republicans increasingly think that Donald J. Trump has the best chance of winning the 2016 presidential election as their nominee as confidence fades in traditional politicians like Jeb Bush and Scott Walker, according to the latest New York Times/CBS News Poll.
Although Republicans have reservations about Mr. Trump and voters often end up embracing candidates who lagged in early polls, the billionaire businessman appears to be gaining acceptance as a possible nominee.
The poll found that 39 percent of Republican primary and caucus voters viewed Mr. Trump as their best shot at winning the presidency, compared with 26 percent in a CBS survey in August.

WOW! I thought Trump was tanking!! CNN poll is the only one anyone’s showing, especially Fox News.
Media sux! ( Some of them are nice) Ala DT
more like “THE winner” than “a winner”
This is going to be the biggest landslide since Reagan
If he picks Palin for VP I bet he wins all 50 states
Murdock, Rove, and Kelly swallow their thin gruel no matter what is the reality.
Im thinking he may pick Rubio. Time will tell.
For unconventional times, we need an unconventional candidate to ‘sock it to them’!
No, Trump or any other republican should not pick Sarah as his running mate. Sarah is a very able and smart politician, but she has a tendency to become easily thrown off message and focused on peripheral, inconsequential matters.
I do hope that if we get a republican president, they find a way to appoint Sarah to a cabinet level position. My wish is that Sarah never have to endure another election process, with all of it’s mean and foolish rhetoric. She’s suffered enough. There are just too many sharks in the water waiting for her. Sharks on both sides.
That’s gonna mean four LOOOOOOONG years for the Washington Press Corps.
Sarah has a special needs child. That needs to be her top priority. The electoral process has done enough harm to her family.
What was true then—Still True. All we need is a Patton to remind us who we are. Today its Donald J. Trump—an unlikely hero—who will lead us out of the PC wilderness back to greatness.
Sharks? More like stinging jellyfish, most of them mindless and annoying as heck. Trump seems able to wade in those waters holding his head high despite the stings. Most of the other current candidates are bottom feeders and not worthy of my vote.
