Not at all.....other than a slight difference in emphasis. Carson didn't address Constitutionality that I can tell, and Cruz agreed it would not be a good idea to have a Muslim President - though there is no Constitutional basis for preventing a Muslim from running - which I think is probably correct. You are the one who put words in my mouth...that I would have no problem with it. Not even close. There are a lot of things that are Constitutional that I have big problems with.
It would be impossible in this era to have an official understanding that muslims were not meant when the founders spoke about the presidency.

His opinion did not violate the religious test clause. It was a reasonable position.
That being said, I believe that a good argument could be made that prohibiting a fundamentalist Muslim from taking the office would not violate the constitution since Islam is not only a religion, but a political system that is antitheical to the Constitution which a president must take an oath to uphold. There is no "political philosophy test" clause in the Constitution.
But then who would be prepared to challenge such a person? The GOP? Don't make me laugh.

I said nothing negative about Carson. You’re looking to pick a fight that doesn’t exist. Do you have a problem agreeing? Get over your obsession to pick a fight. I have nothing against what Carson said - or what Cruz said - or what Trump said.
They all agree on the bigger picture - they all have their own style. Why is that so hard for you to understand????????
