What ‘The Wall Street Journal’ Gets Totally Wrong About Bernie Sanders’s Agenda
The Nation ^ | SEPTEMBER 16, 2015 | Joshua Holland

This week, The Wall Street Journal dropped a terrifyingly large number on Senator Bernie Sanders’s upstart campaign, warning that his proposals would carry a “price tag” of $18 trillion over a 10-year period. It’s a number designed to shock and awe and discourage voters from giving the social democrat’s ideas a close look.

But according to the very data cited by The Journal’s Laura Meckler, Sanders’s highly progressive proposals wouldn’t cost the United States a single penny, on net, over that 10-year window. In fact, they’d cost less, overall, than what we’d spend without them.

I have to laugh at the author's comment of Bernie being elected in an alternate universe and being able to enact his policies fully. Well, with all due respect sir, in this universe, we've gotten to see the real success stories of France, Sweden, Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and elsewhere concerning social democracy (sarc, big time).

I perhaps should have included “Barf” or even “Sunday morning chuckle” in the article heading, my apologies for having not done so.

From my perspective, I’d think that Bernie Sanders’ agenda might just be surviving old age through the completion of the election.

Bernie ‘s agenda would not cost a penny seeing as how we are saving all that money with Obamacare. It’s a wash

Short summary:

Socialism is a perfect system, which introduces enormous efficiencies and it's basically free to everyone, because you just tax the hell out all the rich folks. That way it doesn't cost anything.

Only with an Ivy league education can one be so smart.

that transition would reduce American healthcare costs by almost $10 trillion over 10 years through economies of scale, better control of pharmaceutical costs, and savings on administrative bloat.

The libtard strategy is to tell enough lies to cause increased fear and doubt in the masses which leads to increased mistrust of freedom and limited government. Next, they tell more lies, by making promises that they never keep or that always leads to bigger problems, to cause the masses to have increased trust in big government.

You make me think of a couple of things I’ve seen recently. Someone posted here an article showing how old ones like Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, Dianne Feinstein, Nancy Pelosi, and other big name Dems will be on Inauguration Day 2017 (definitely not spring chickens for sure, all close to or well into their 70s and even 80s for some).

Also, there is an article that just came out showing names like Danny DeVito, Susan Sarandon, Bonnie Raitt, David Crosby, Neil Young and others endorsing Sanders. You could do the same sort of thing as with the above in showing how old these ones like Crosby and Sarandon will be in January 2017. This really is a questionable optic for liberal Dems.

Socialism is the taxing/taking of all wealth and earnings so that the benevolent/omniscient FEDGOV can distribute it. In other words, everyone will no longer be a citizen with natural, God-given rights, but will be a slave, beholden to FEDGOV.
