I think his speech is quite measured. My husband and I have commented before on the deliberate pauses when he talks, as though to allow his audience to digest what he's saying. That measurement, I suspect, stems from his legal training and from arguing before the Supreme Court.

Have you seen any of Cruz's recent one-on-one speeches? He's actually quite forceful and animated...also conversational and funny.. One of his strengths is connecting with people.

See, told ya, he is trying to dial down what he said yesterday. He got backlash.

Rubio is not stable. He wants something too fast.

He is not mature

I like Trump, but, he gets on my nerves sometimes. Everything you said about Rubio above, could apply to Trump.

unless Ted changes things, he could never win in a general election.

Uh..... I think he won in Texas against a powerful, entrenched, multi-millionaire, Establishment Republican named Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst.

Trump can do that. But he can also win.

My big issue is Immigration. The rest means a lot, but if we can’t do something, none of the rest will matter.

I am talking about the general election, Not a state election.

The candidate has to be able to get votes other thanthe conservative base. So far, I can’t see him being able to do that. He has substance and no style.

The electorate has changed from the past.

Rubio strikes me as too ‘boyish’ to be president.

Right now one cannot see, as it’s not on TV to see, the organization taking place to get Cruz’s message to the individual voters. That is being organized, put in place, every day, and that is the way to win. Making a splash on TV for minutes, doesn’t stand a chance against an organized plan to reach the voters and get them to the polls. Cruz’s message will be in every mail box day after day and Cruz’s people will be calling voters in every county. I’ve seen it happen.

That is good, but so far, I am not seeing it and I still do not think he can win the general unless he takes some advice on how to make himself more engaged on the national stage.

Ted is too lawyerly, he orates and uses up face time he ould be using to talk about the big issues. He doesn’t engage and fight for that face time either.

Remember Snarly howling like a hyena last Wednesday night?

She was like Ooh ooh ooh, me, me, me. You know like some of those kids did in grade school while almost falling out of their chair to get called on.

Teds going to have to do a grown up version of that.

He would be a great SCOTUS appointment though.

Fiorina’s largest donor (A. Jerrold Perenchio) is past chairman of Univision... Remember Ramos?

Trump probably already knew but I just made him aware of it again.
